PG348Q or XG35VQ or XG32VQ?

Hi all,
I'm buying a new rig, with a Zotac 1080 mini, and I'd like to upgrade from my ancient 1080p Samsung to something BIG.
I was about to pull the trigger on a PG348Q - the ultrawide format was super immersive when I saw it in person and G-Sync seems to be effective and well regarded.
But after reading through a variety of threads about PG348Q quality issues, I'm less certain about dropping $AUD1,399 on one.
I'd like to stay curved, 1440p, and above 27", so the other options I'm looking at are the XG35VQ (ultra wide, VA, 100hz) or XG32VQ (16:9, VA, 144hz). Neither has G-Sync though.
Both of these are also $500 - $300 less than the PG348Q.
I mainly play a mix of MMOs, FPS (very casually), and survival games. I prefer image quality and smoothness over super fast twitch responsiveness.
I'd also like a monitor that will last me through a few GPU refreshes.
So, which would you go for? A super expensive UW, but with G-Sync and potential quality issues, a $300 cheaper 16:9 with no G-Sync but with 144hz, or a $500 cheaper UW?
HALP!
