Dont know yet, whether it can help with some 240hz monitors issues.
Worth trying.

Re: NVIDIA Releases Firmware For DP Bug (Pascal and Maxwell)
It works with any card. It only changes the UEFI part of the BIOS, not the whole BIOS.
However, still, if you are not using a DP 1.3/1.4 HDR display, there's no reason to use this and risk something going wrong.

Updated successfully (MSI 1070 Armor).
What exactly is this update fixing? On a 240hz monitor, also with high VT utilizing pixelclock over 600mhz, isnt it getting close to DP 1.3 data rate?
I'm sometimes getting black screens on my monitor when over 600mhz (VT tweaked 240hz), I fix it with power-cycle of the monitir and it helps for a week or so. I updated having in mind possibility that issue may be fixed someway.

It fixes DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 issues. This is used by the upcoming HDR G-Sync displays.k2viper wrote:Updated successfully (MSI 1070 Armor).

I really doubt your monitor uses DP 1.3 or 1.4. Does it? If not, this firmware update does nothing for you. (Unless of course it has undocumented fixes in it, but I somehow doubt that.)

I was getting black screens during the day on ALL latest NVIDIA drivers without doing or changing anything (no VT tweaks etc.).k2viper wrote: I'm sometimes getting black screens on my monitor when over 600mhz (VT tweaked 240hz), I fix it with power-cycle of the monitir and it helps for a week or so.
Same here, let me know if that fixed it for you. I might try to install newest NVIDIA drivers in a few weeks and see it that helped on my side too.k2viper wrote:I updated having in mind possibility that issue may be fixed someway.

Got a black screen yesterday (and fixed it by powercycling the monitor). So no, this fix isnt a case for my blackscreens issue.mello wrote: Same here, let me know if that fixed it for you. I might try to install newest NVIDIA drivers in a few weeks and see it that helped on my side too.
