Post by ahmedpc03 » 22 Jun 2018, 20:28

Hi
i would like to buy a monitor for my ps4
and i prefer to get an ips monitor and one of these lg monitors
27MP59G
32MA68HY

27MP59G is a gaming monitor and guaranteed with low input lag

but i dont have an idea if the 32MA68HY have low input lag or not

i prefer to get a bigger monitor, both of them have 5ms response time

also the philips 323E7QDAB is 5ms but i dont have an idea if is it also have a low input lag or not

the philips one is available in a local shop which is good for me

please need help guys to choose a monitor with low input lag

thanks

If Sony ever decides to support freesync, the 27MP59G is the better pick. If they'll never add that, and you prefer larger screen size, then the 32MA68HY is probably the better pick for you. Note of course that since we're talking about 1080p screens here, the larger the screen is, the worse the image quality gets.

The blur reduction mode of the 27MP59G is probably limited to 75Hz so it's not useful for a PS4. I might be wrong, but I doubt LG would support 60Hz blur reduction mode.

Other than that, none of these monitors have detailed reviews available. So we don't know what their input lag is. We know as much as you do. However, since these are monitors and not TVs, they will have much lower input lag compared to a TV.

according to the displayspecifications.com

the lg 27mp59g
have 11ms input lag, which is very good

do you think bigger monitor have more input lag or its not necessary!

I don't know. I can't find any tests.

Same, I would go with 27MP59G most probably as well! Let us know which one you get and how it goes with the new monitor :)

my nephew got this monitor and playing fortnite alot, hes very happy with it, clear motion comparing with his old tv and no noticeable input lag at all

usualy lg ips monitors offering better colors comparing with the others. but with little higher response time 5ms

i can see only acer offering 60hz ips monitors 1080p with 4ms response time, but i dont have an idea if there well be a noticeable different between 4ms and 5ms on 60hz
