Hi all
i was looking to change my monitor couple days ago cause of the pixel inversion issue, iam getting tired to deal with the issue, my monitor is the asus pg258q, especially very noticeable with gsync with low fps, and realy headache for me to take a decision for which monitor to change to
Chief Blur Buster, suggested to me to get an ips monitor, since the ips panels doesn't have and issue with pixel inversion
its a good idea
but for me, i prefer to have a 1080p monitor, since there is no ips monitor with 144hz VRR, less than 1440p
so now iam thinking to get a bigger monitor without VRR, as the zowie xl2720
- does this monitor have the pixel inversion issue?
- what is the best ways to deal(or minimize) tearing and stuttering without vsync (or with vsync but with lower input lag)
- over all is the zowie xl2720 is a good monitor if it doesn't have the pixel inversion issue
please help guys, and sorry for my bad eng.

Re: zowie xl2720 advice pls
I would at this time avoid the Zowie XL2720. ONLY buy the XL2720 (XL2720Z) if you want *60hz* single strobe blur reduction (for 60 FPS locked games and consoles). The original Benq/Zowie "Mstar" based monitors--XL2411, XL2420, XL2720 and XL2430 (and the Z versions of these) are the only monitors that can do "single frame strobing" at lower than 100hz. All of the newer Zowie/Benq monitors can only strobe at 100hz and higher in single frame.
If you do NOT intend to use blur reduction at 60hz (or 75hz or 85hz). then what you want to buy is the Zowie XL2740, which is the newer 27" 240hz version of this monitor (still 1080p). It does not have DyAc for even brighter strobing, but does have benq blur reduction (you can disable or enable it in the service menu #1). It can NOT single strobe at 60hz, but can at 100hz, 120hz, 144hz, 165hz and 240hz, AND has a better blur reduction and "overdrive" system than the old XL2720. These monitors (the DyAC versions) can all strobe with BRIGHTER displays than the XL2720Z. The XL2720/XL2720Z is VERY dim when doing strobing, (it can be made brighter by using a "vertical total VT 1500 tweak" at 100hz and 120hz, but it's still dimmer than the newer "DyAc" versions).
As far as I can tell, the XL2740 is just the 27" version of the XL2540. Both are NOT DyAc.
The XL2540 supports freesync (undocumented) if you disable blur reduction. It is UNKNOWN If the XL2740 supports freesync !!
The XL2546 version is DyaC and does NOT support freesync.
The XL2735 is the 2560x1440 version of this monitor, it has DyAc (benq blur reduction+brighter) but still cannot single strobe lower than 100hz).
The overdrive settings can be tweaked on all of the "newer" Zowie monitors (XL2735, XL2540, XL2546 and XL2740) by entering the "Factory menu" (aka the service menu #2) and changing the "OD Gain" (overdrive gain) setting, preferably to a value of 40 or 50.
Note: if you want FREESYNC Capability, only the XL2540 has freesync (this is not advertised, and you must disable blur reduction in the service menu to use freesync (service menu #1).

Re: zowie xl2720 advice pls
thank you for your suggestions
144hz monitor is more than enough for me since i cant reach 240 fps in most of the games i am playing now, i really dont care about the blur reduction, since its dimmer and with lower picture quality.
what i really care about it now is to have a good 1080p 144hz monitor without issues, like the pixel inversion

iam getting tired cause not getting a clear answer from any one tried this monitor
and now just thinking to go with an ips monitor cause they confirmed ips monitors is the less monitors with issues
my choice for now is the xg2703-gs, but this monitor mostly in US out of stock, with less buyers but overpriced
thanks any way
the lg 34uc89g is an ultra wide monitor with less resolution but i saw complains from users about the ghosting
there is an alienware monitor aw3418hw, but iam just worry if this monitor using the same panel as the lg one or not.
asus pg279q and the acer xg271hu booth having a ghosting issues, and they said all are using the same panel but actually they are not
according to the display specifications .com, panels are different

The XL2720Z does not have the 'vertical lines' issue, but if you're trying to get a monitor for BLUR REDUCTION, I would only get the XL2720Z if you want *60hz* single frame strobing for game consoles (HDMI output) or for 60 FPS /60hz PC game ports.ahmedpc03 wrote:guys please i need an answer(help)

If you are not into 60hz single frame strobing, then what you want is one the XL2720Z's *SUCCESSORS*.
1) XL2735 (DyAc, brighter)--2560x1440 monitor, can use Vertical Total tweaks (Up to Vertical total value=1825 at 120hz) to reduce strobe crosstalk. Recommend a fast videocard for 1440p because you want to game with VSYNC ON for good blur reduction (DyAc). You can also use 100hz refresh rate on the XL2735 for single frame strobing and use a Vertical total 1825 tweak also, if you can't maintain 120hz/120 fps. FREESYNC OVER HDMI will work on this monitor (using the toastyX CRU hack to add the freesysnc range), but will NOT over displayport.
DyAC seems to be brighter than basic "Benq Blur Reduction".
2) XL2740, this is the 240hz successor to the XL2720, but WITHOUT THE SINGLE STROBE 60hz feature!!. Does NOT use DyAc but uses benq blur reduction, Vertical Total tweaks will work at 100hz, 120hz and 240hz (max VT values are UNKNOWN), however this monitor will *DOUBLE STROBE* at 60hz and 85hz, making blur reduction pointless to use at these refresh rates. If you want 240hz at 1920x1080 on a nice big 27" screen with blur reduction, I recommend this. IT IS UNKNOWN WHETHER THIS MONITOR SUPPORTS FREESYNC IF YOU DISABLE BLUR REDUCTION IN THE SERVICE MENU !
This monitor uses basic benq blur reduction, rather than DyAc, so it won't be as bright as DyAc, but Vertical Total (VT) Tweaks should make it brighter.
3) XL2540--this monitor officially supports freesync if you disable blur reduction in the service menu.
4) XL2546-the "DyAc" version of the XL2540--it is UNKNOWN if this supports freesync if DyAc is disabled in the service menu (check the XL2546 thread to see if it does).
All of the newer Benq monitors with the Realtek 2796BF should allow freesync via HDMI using the ToastyX CRU hack to manually add the freesync range.
