Does my new monitor have clouding?

Post by palmbar » 11 Jul 2018, 18:59

Hi everyone bought an Viewsonix XG2402 monitor and I ran a test where I put a black image on my screen and the black screen shows some slightly brighter blotches like these. Should I return it?

All LCDs have clouding. It's inherent to the technology. Whether or not yours has more than what's acceptable is impossible to tell through an over-exposed picture.

from My humble experience
its normal for the tn panels to looks darker on the top than the bottom

If you do not feel comfortable with your monitor, and you have a chance for replacement, just do it, dont waste your time.
