I've been keeping an eye on 240Hz monitor deals lately, and LG's 27" 240Hz monitor just keeps getting cheaper. Newegg has it on sale via their official Ebay store for $259 which is already good but today Ebay has a 15% off coupon code PRONTO15 that knocks off another $39 bringing the price down to $220 with free shipping. I've been hoping that the BenQ XL2740 would drop in price and make a nice upgrade to my current XL2720, but I haven't seen it budge from it's $600 price since release. The BenQ might be the better monitor vs. the LG, but is it worth almost 3 times as much? The LG seems like a no brainer 240Hz deal at this price and I'm extremely tempted to grab one as a hold over until the new AUO 0.5ms panels come out in late 2018/early 2019. Anyway, just thought I would give everyone a heads up who's in the market for one, that LG is coming out swinging hard here with the price/performance of this monitor. And I'm excited to see quality 240Hz displays getting cheap enough to become mainstream.

Your XL2720 probably has less input lag than the 240hz LG, sooo....

Seems like a good deal to me since I need an upgrade but if you can compromise that input lag then you can go ahead and buy it .IronPlasma wrote:I've been keeping an eye on 240Hz monitor deals lately, and LG's 27" 240Hz monitor just keeps getting cheaper.
