Acer XB272 mess

I am trying to run this monitor at 240hz. Here is the weird thing, without changing settings sometimes the monitor feels like crap. Like its burry and hard to see when moving around in games.

I am wondering what the best settings for this monitor are for fast paced FPS games. It just feels like it has input lag or its too blurry or something. Sometimes it feels good and others it feels worse than my old VG278HE

Im running windows 10
Display port from a GTX780

Here is another interesting note.

I turned on the displays FPS meter. And I noticed something odd. When playing overwatch the display meter says I am getting a frame rate that is less than my monitor is set to. In this case I was trying to enable ULMB and I had set the display to 144hz. But I was only getting 110 to 120 hz. However the games own in game FPS meter said I was getting over 200 fps during this same time. However as soon as I leave the game the refresh rate from the monitor reads the 144hz it was set to.

EDIT
OK so maybe the reason the FPS was lower than the monitors refresh was because I did a reinstall of the drivers to try to fix anything it might. This turned gsync back on by default. So then I tried to enable ULMB and it wasnt showing up. So I went looking and discovered gsync on, I turned Gsync off and now I just get a black screen on the monitor. No OSD will pop up or anything and it doesnt say no display connected, its just dark black. If I disconnect the display port cable it flips over and says no signal detected then turns off.

That doesn't sound good. When did you buy the monitor?

Like a couple months ago maybe.
I fixed the black screen but pulling the display port cable out, this got the monitor to say no input, then I used the OSD to reset all settings on the monitor. Then I plugged the display port cable in and could see my desktop.

Also I set the monitor up for 120hz and ULMB, everthing worked fine. Then I moved it up to 144hz and it immediately went black. So I think for some reason I cant do ULMB at 144hz and that was what caused the issue. So I went back reset the OSD and got back on.

So right now it seems like I am stuck with either 120hz ULMB or 200hz no ULMB. The other odd thing is now nvidia drivers and windows give me no option to turn it up to 240hz.

Does GTX780 actually support 240hz?

OK so I am back at this again. After a long time I have upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1070 ti figuring this would get all the features of this monitor running. However the same problem comes back, If I try to turn on ULMB the monitor just goes dark. However now I have figured out the monitor is not actually completely black. It is actually just very dark, almost black. So dark I cant even see the OSD, but now I know menus well enough to turn ULMB on and off just memorizing the menus and its really simple. Turn ULMB on the screen goes dark, turn it off it comes back to light and normal. So I am back at square one I cant turn ULMB at 144hz on with this monitor. Any ideas?

Also does anyone know how to reset this monitor to factory default settings. I litterally cannot find it anywhere in the menus and I cant find anything online and right now an Acer support tech cant figure it out either.

And is it possible that the toasty strobe utility could be messing something up, I used to have that running on my system for my VG278h.

EDIT:

FINALLY found the reset,
press menu, enter into menu again, click the info button, now you can see reset option.
