Can someone please make a list of monitors that supports ulmb higher than 120hz.
Is there also one with 1440x2560 27"

Why dont they specify the info about ulmb in the specifications about monitors?

I was actually wondering this myself. Was hoping the XB271HU would be capable of increasing ULMB to 144hz, since the monitor is overclockable.

I know the LG 27GK750F-B can run 1ms persistence at 240hz. But it's a freesync monitor; can't run freesync at the same time. And you can't change the length of the strobe, which would help crosstalk if it could. But I read it's pretty good.

Here is a list of all monitor supporting 144Hz+ blur reduction:

  • All 240Hz TN G-SYNC monitors (144Hz)
  • All strobed BenQ/Zowie monitors since first XL2411Z (Any Hz in 1Hz increments)
  • LG 27GK750F-B and LG 34UC79G monitor

Consider Strobe Crosstalk Behaviours at Higher Hz (double images)
Bear in mind of the law of physics of LCD GtG enroaching into refresh cycle durations -- which cascades into inability to hide LCD GtG in the blanking intervals between refresh cycles -- leading to increased strobe crosstalk for higher Hz strobing. 240Hz strobing is more likely to have more strobe crosstalk than 144Hz strobing or 120Hz strobing. Also, the faster the scanout velocity (higher max Hz), the less strobe crosstalk a lower-Hz strobe has. So a 144Hz monitor supporting 144Hz strobe, will practically always have more strobe crosstalk than a 240Hz TN monitor supporting 144Hz strobe. You want healthy refresh rate headroom for good quality strobing. See Advanced Strobe Crosstalk FAQ.

Some manufacturers limits Hz (e.g. NVIDIA limits you to 144Hz ULMB) to prevent exposing you to bad strobe crosstalk. Other manufactures unlock strobing at higher Hz and lets you decide if increased strobe crosstalk is worth it.

For this very reason I do not yet recommend strobed 144Hz mode yet for 1440p yet because there's no refreshrate headroom. Unless you're not worried about strobe crosstalk. If you care about lower strobe crosstalk, consider as much refresh rate headroom as possible, e.g. 240Hz -- in order to gain high-quality 144Hz strobing.
