Lowest input lag 240hz?

Post by Friard » 28 Oct 2018, 02:34

What 240hz monitor has the lowest input lag since I like to play competitively and I want that slight edge? I bought a cheap acer 240hz but i am able to react quicker with my older benq 144hz despite the increase in motion clarity. So I am going to buy a new one any recommendations?

I thought the same thing when i went from my old vg248qe (144hz) to my new pg258q (240hz).

I could swear that the old 144hz had less input lag but I did a side by side test and the 240hz came out ahead. Once I adapted to playing with the 240hz I was playing better than on the 144hz.

If you are inclined to understand camera scanout and how to set up a side by side test and how to eliminate variables then I would do a side by side input lag test. Blur busters has a good tool for it.

I did the stopwatch test viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4576 the shutter speed I used was 1/8000 and there seemed to be such random variance from the acer. I tested by cloning both monitors and the acer always fell behind or was equal to the 144hz. What would be a better test that blur busters offers?
