It's a house brand at Computer Upgrade King, an American company.

They likely contacted a Chinese manufacturer to rebrand a common 240Hz panel to their in-house brand of a monitor.

I know that chinese monitor manufacturers have been rapidly catching up -- I was surprised last year at CES 2018.

It appears that these are now finally filtering to domestic markets.

It's under 300 dollars on Amazon.

Thanks for answer, i read post, but i'm still interested they are any better/worse compare to other free sync models? for example aw2518hf. because they are about same price point. Do they use same panel?

So we can expect bad overdrive quality at this model?

I did some research on this monitor from Computer Upgrade King (CUK), and what I found is that "ICB Display" is the monitor-manufacturer in which CUK sources the actual monitors from. Here it is without the CUK re-skin: http://icbdisplay.com/2439-2/.

For those that are interested, I also found a Google Doc that contains this panel's Product Specification from AUO themselves: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... kXqeH9TxC9. It seems that the panel that ICB Display uses for this monitor is "AUO M250HTN01.7", a newer panel. When you compare this panel to the other 240 Hz panels of similar model name, there does not appear to be much of a difference between them: http://www.panelook.com/modelcompare.ph ... 8334,28331. Although it could be that I just may not be seeing the major difference between the three. If a major difference can be seen, feel free to let me know.

I am really curious to see the how the signal processing and response time of this AUO M250HTN01.7 panel is in comparison to the extremely quick Alienware AW3418DW (and AW2518Hf, most likely), seen here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/images/dell ... dw/lag.jpg.

On another note, Monoprice went the same route that CUK took with this ICB Display monitor, and are now selling their own re-skinned version of it: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=34713

Also, in the November 22nd list of FreeSync monitors, the first table says that the CUK Bionic B25GM monitor has "Blur Reduction" under the Motion Blur Tech column; I believe this to be inaccurate. The descriptions that I've read for the B25GM seem to only attritube the use of FreeSync and 240 Hz for their monitor's "motion blur reduction" capability, rather than attributing it to backlight strobing; the B25GM does not seem to have the ability to strobe its backlight. :)

Not necessarily, many of these Chinese monitors use high quality panels now, with default panel overdrive (e.g. AUO Optronics default Overdrive Gain settings). So you'd get something pretty average overdrive-wise.

Wow, a 240Hz monitor for only 224 dollars!

And using the same AUO Optronics panel with its built-in default overdrive.

I'll announce that on BlurBusters, as that's an outlier at under $1 per Hertz.

I actually came across this 240 Hz Monoprice monitor while browsing the buildapcsales subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/ ... g_monitor/.

The post shows that the coupon code AMAZON10 brings the total cost of the monitor down to $214.95, but only if Amazon Pay is the payment method that is used. :geek:

So it seems that my curiosity got the best of me, and I have now purchased this 240 Hz Monoprice Zero-G monitor. I really want to know how bad a $200 240 Hz gaming monitor could be, as I assume this will not be as good as a $400+ BenQ 240 Hz monitor. ;)
Yes, I typed $200 because apparently Monoprice made the AMAZON10 coupon code take off $22.50 rather than just the $10 that it took off before; I again found this out using the buildapcsales subreddit. What I ended up paying for the monitor in the end was a grand total of $202.49 (I just realized that I could have used the affiliate link, darn).

I am thinking about getting myself a high-speed camera so that I could perform a test similar to this one by Battle(non)sense: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzts7ss ... u.be&t=172. It would be nice to compare the results of the 240 Hz Zero-G compared to the two 240 Hz monitors from the video. What I would really like to do is get input lag results like in the screenshot that I linked above (the link, again: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/images/dell ... dw/lag.jpg), done by TFT Central, but I don't have a CRT monitor laying around so that I could use the SMT Tool, haha. :)

It would be really interesting to see a review by TFT Central for one of these inexpensive 240 Hz monitors like the CUK B25GM and the Monoprice Zero-G that use the popular AU Optronics M250HTN01 panel. I am especially interested in seeing how it does against that Alienware AW3418DW from the screenshot so that I can get an idea of the difference between these two brands (I've been wanting to get my hands on an AW2518Hf based on what I've read in these forums, so seeing the input lag of a $200-250 240 Hz monitor compared to the AW3418DW would be very imformative).

Nice. Also you can check quality of overdrive. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/mo ... ponse-time
For example I had Acer GN246HL and it had no overdrive control at all and overdrive was too aggressive and worst one I saw.
Just check it:
https://i.rtings.com/images/reviews/mon ... -large.jpg
and this one https://i.rtings.com/images/reviews/mon ... -large.jpg
This site also has input lag tests (native resolution, non-native resolution, native resolution @ 60 Hz)
I'm surprised that this site exist and have many high quality tests for tvs, monitors and even headphones.
