I really wanted to sidegrade/upgrade to this monitor from my 27GK750F so I could get the better pixel overdrive, input lag and possibly backlight strobing characteristics, but all the talk of poor image quality and garbage uniformity has turned me off. Hopefully LG themselves release a 23.8" 240Hz with the new panel.

I would personally take that with a pinch of salt. My sample doesn´t have the awful clouding the other user experienced, so is actually possible to get a good XG248Q!

As for image quality, is TN and... Asus! They were never good at image quality on their gaming monitors. Scenery mode with a few tweaks is acceptable tho. This is a fast paced gaming monitor anyway tbh, and is still way better than MG248Q or VG248Q

The image quality was actually good on it, much sharper than the 24.5" models I tried and far less aggressive coating. The strobing was really good on it too and clean looking overdrive. The only flaw that bothered me was the clouding, it just ruined the display for me and I've never seen anything so bad. And as I said, I wasn't the only one that experienced clouding streaks (i exchanged two, both had the identical strips of horrid clouding), you can see here another user here confirming my report, here is his image:

And Notty also confirmed it by saying he has clouding "columns" but quickly walked it back, so "take that with a pinch of salt".

If what you see in the images doesn't bother, it's a great panel performance wise.

My 27GK750F has poor uniformity which I dislike, and it's nowhere near that bad. I had definitely better stay away from this monitor or at least wait for some later batches/panel revisions/general maturity.

For comparastion, this is the clouding on my Asus XG248Q. Be assured, it isn´t as bad as what it appears to be on the photo and it didn´t bother me a single time yet on any game, including Battlefield V, Quake Champions or Black Ops 4. Like I said before it doesn´t show more clouding than any other TN I have used before. Typical thing! Is it good? Nop, that´s why TN sucks! :D but for 240hz this is the best we can get. My AlienWare AW2518HF had as much, if not more clouding!

Yesterday I bought ASUS XG248Q new one from local store. The monitor have very clear image on 240HZ WITHOUT scanlines, blurry, crosstalk and etc. It's image quality, colors and everything is better than BenQ XL2546! But again I have a technical issue and I can't fix it.
When I use monitor 1+ hour I have a problem with flashing screen (I mean display ON/OFF for 1 seconds randomly.) When I start a game (CS:GO, GTA V or other) monitor powering off and saying "DisplayPort signal lost" I need to switch power OFF and ON for fix that. Today I buy another DisplayPort cable and first hour of use everything it's OK, but after that same problem.. Flashing on desktop resolution 1920 x 1650, but not flashing in games. I changed from 240HZ to 140HZ and from 10 minutes I don't have this problem.. Do you have any ideas how can I fix this? Thanks in advance. In this post I will attach a short video with problem.

DisplayPort cable issues can sometimes do that, but we need to verify if it's a monitor issue or cable issue.

Try keeping DisplayPort wires away from your power supply & away from power bars & away from power wires / outlets (by at least several inches where possible). See if that helps to an extent. High Hz with high bandwidth is very sensitive to issues. However, it could be a monitor defect as well since you had an XL2546. You may want to try one cycle of RMA to see if this solves the problem, e.g. a monitor that is more sensitive to disruptions than average especially when warmed up.

I never had those issues with my Asus XG248Q. The only weird thing that happened once was booting to Windows at 200hz instead of 240hz. I figured something was different and went to Nvidia control panel to change it.

For people with DisplayPort problems did you try HDMI 2.0 instead? Maybe that helps with that problem. I´m glad I didn´t have a single one.

Kiryakov you say this monitor has better image quality than XL2546? Well I assume that benq model has really awful image quality then! :D Because imo the image quality on XG248Q is bad! Bad contrast, washed out colours!
