GeForce RTX 2080 Ti - My writer has more powerful GPU than I

Post by Chief Blur Buster » 19 Dec 2018, 14:31

As you know, we all need powerful graphics cards to drive the big Hertz in newer games!

Especially if we want to dream of 4K 144Hz or for 1080p 240Hz at anything remotely resembling Ultra detail levels... For the times we want to play that latest, not just only CS:GO. My writer (former AAA game developer) just got a more powerful graphics card than I. And obviously, since I have an Oculus Rift too on top of this, VR voraciously gobbles that goodness of GPU power like no tomorrow.

So... a heads up on my writer's unboxing of an RTX 2080 Ti for Blur Busters:

"RTX 2080 Ti = So Much MOAR POWER, It HERTZ!"

And... those who can't afford RTX 2080 Ti can be also happy about the slightly reduced prices of the older GPU generation -- it has been a long time in coming (especially due to the cryptocurrency craze that has affected us gamers to an extent).

Also, for those looking for GPUs for G-SYNC, see Supported NVIDIA GPUs for G-SYNC.
