240hz 1ms IPS?

Post by Malinkadink » 02 Jan 2019, 19:47

Anyone know if the AUO panel is a newer 1ms or is it a 3-4ms like we're used to? I'd assume it needs to be 1ms to have 240hz be as good as current 1ms 240hz monitors but im not sure where to dig to find more info on it.

It's mentioned in this writeup: https://www.displayninja.com/new-monito ... -and-2019/

Wow, there looks like a nano ips by LG that's going to be 240.

27” 1080p 240Hz 1ms Q3 2019 N/A

I guess the next question will be what the input lag will be.

for AUO IPS

24.5″ 1080p 240Hz Q1 2019 N/A
27″ 1080p 240Hz Q2 2019 N/A

November 2018: Updated the article. Some release dates have been pushed back, some of them due to certain panel changes.
Also, new panels have been announced. The most interesting new panels include the 27″ 1440p 165Hz 1ms (GtG) IPS and 1080p 240Hz 1ms (GtG) IPS models by LG as well as the 25″ and 27″ 144Hz/240Hz IPS models by AUO.

looks like 1ms (GtG)

Let's hope the numbers are factual and not just another example of 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000:1 contrast ratio :P

These things will probably cost at least 2x the price of the Acer though. Maybe more.

That's a good point. The ROG Strix counterpart almost never goes under 550 on the very best of sales. I think it hits 599 often.
