I have noticed that when I switch to 60hz, the colors and the black are much better than on 144hz. And yes, the color range is always set to 'Full' from NVIDIA CPL.
The higher I go with the Hz, the worse it looks. So 60 looks best, 75 is a little bit worse, 100 is a bit worse, 120 worse, 144hz the worst.
Is this normal or is my monitor broken?

This is often par for the course for many high-Hz monitors.
Higher Hz can push the color quality limits of the monitor.
Certain models such as XL2546 have less of a problem with this, looking more colorful (non-DyAc) at 240Hz than the XL2411P does at 144Hz (non-DyAc). Several of the 240Hz panels are able to retain better color at high Hz.
There is also less of a color issue with 165Hz IPS monitors, if you prefer to maintain color quality at both high & low Hz.

As Chief mentioned, this is a very common issue with the AUO M240HW01 series panel, and is caused by gamma degradation. Perfect gamma at 60hz and washed out massively at 144hz. This effect was first raged about hard on the first hugely popular 144hz panel, the Asus VG248QE (which used the same AUO panel). The 27" 1080p Benq monitors were largely immune to this issue (144hz looked almost the same as 60hz, requiring a very practiced eye to see any difference).
What happens if you try using Gamma 5 on your OSD?

Thanks for your replies guys, I was really worried. I couldn't find almost anything about this on google. Very few people even mention something like this.
