Hello. I have got a Viewsonic XG2530. I will RMA this monitor due to dead pixel and high pitch noise problem coming especially when switching modes.
I can change Viewsonic XG2530 with a new one or a buy another monitor.
The following monitors are in price range that I can buy in my country. Which one is the best for gaming (competitive FPS) ? The XG2530 or following 144hz monitors?
Samsung LC24FG73FQMXUF 23.5"
MSI Optix MAG24C 23.6"
BenQ XL2411 24"
BenQ 24" XL2411P 24"
Asus VG248QE 24"
Asus VG248QZ 24"
Asus MG248QR 24"
Viewsonic XG2402 24"
Acer KG271Cbmidpx 27"
AOC G2460PF 24"
AOC 24" G2460PG 24"
AOC G2590PX 24.5"
AOC 27" G2790PX
AOC 23.8" AGON AG241QX This one is 2K
These ones are slightly above the price range > BenQ XL2430 24", AOC G2770PF 27", MSI Optix MAG271C 27", Asus VG258Q 24.5"
As I said, I can order a new XG2530. Should I keep it or buy the listed monitors in terms of performance? If the monitors which are out of price range is way better than the listed ones, I may also afford to buy one of them.

Re: Which monitor for gaming?
That's quite a good list! Except most is a downgrade to 144Hz, though there can be other shining assets of some of the monitor choices.
I'm tempted to keep 240Hz so you would do an exchange of the XG2530.
How does 240Hz feel for you?

Re: Which monitor for gaming?
It actually feels pretty good. To be honest this is my first high refresh monitor. I just passed from 60 Hz to 240 so I have no idea about feeling of 144 Hz. I just read some article stating difference of feeling between 240Hz and 144Hz is not that much compared to 60Hz vs 144Hz but it is still noticeable.Chief Blur Buster wrote:That's quite a good list! So I just wondered how these model are compared to XG2530 in terms of response time, input lag, blurriness etc.
I just noticed something about XG2530. While scrolling down with middle mouse button in google search results, the green color of web page links become more saturated. I don't know whether if it's normal or not.

For these panels I'd say it's normal. 240Hz panels aren't exactly high fidelity when it comes to image quality. Image quality sacrifices were made to reach 240Hz.boykale wrote:I just noticed something about XG2530.
