Oculus Rift Dev 2 Kit & beyond: Any plans for 2D?

Since the new Rift Dev 2 kit will have a low latency / high refresh rate OLED panel, has there been any talk of using the Rift for non-VR games? Basically having the Rift project a large screen in front of you? This could be really cool...essentially a VR and non-VR mode toggle.

I think you could open up a Rift and use it as a simple small strobed OLED computer monitor. My Rift DK1 actually just behaves as a computer monitor when plugged in without any drivers or utils, so just open up the thing and it behaves as a tiny computer monitor.

Micro miniature motion blur eliminating OLED computer monitor, anyone? :)
