Battlenonsense tested vg258q, so even though it uses the same panel, it's possible vg258qr does not have this issue. Prad does indeed indicate low input lag. Would have to ask them if they tested it with nvidia.

Would be nice to know how much input lag it has with ELMB.
Would be nice to know how much input lag it has using 144hz instead of 165hz. Will it use same overdrive with different hz?

I've asked to prad.de if they have performed that test with nvidia gpu. In the meanwhile I already ordered VG258QR. If I don't happy with the results I could always sent it back for full refund anyways.. I only hope they fixed that with newer QR model.

If I recall correctly, one of the owners of 258QR wrote on reddit that he has gsync option in control panel and was able to activate it.

Do you mean freesync/gsync disabled with trace free 40 causing issues? Wasn't it default 60 and shouldn't be an issue as long as you not pushing it up to 100?

@boykale
Sure :)

Erdo4 wrote:... and saw this new VG258QR 0.5ms monitor. I was searcing info about it and found displayspecifications.com

It says input lag is 14ms

I was also looking for XG2402 which has 3ms input lag.

How does it has 14ms input lag at 0.5ms VG258QR monitor?
response time and input lag are different things. use search.

@boykale
I have received reply from prad.de

The test was done with nvidia gpu. (thankfully) so looks like they have fixed it with new model.
