I have been looking to buy a new 144hz monitor and saw this new VG258QR 0.5ms monitor. I was searcing info about it and found displayspecifications.com

It says input lag is 14ms

I was also looking for XG2402 which has 3ms input lag.

How does it has 14ms input lag at 0.5ms VG258QR monitor? Isn't it too high for new technology or the info on that site is outdated? I couldn't find any info about this model specs out there.

VG258QR response time on Trace 100 which is the fastest




XG240R which is same as XG2402 but little faster and better overdrive/overshoot/etc




i have xg240r and i can tell you is amazing monitor even its have high response time then vg258qr you cant feel it cause its so close in both sides

XG240R Input lag 3.6 ms on 144hz
VG258QR input lag 2.3ms on 165hz

i cant found any store that sell VG258QR yet

Thank you soo much for your msg. I'm glad someone has the info about input lag for VG258QR.

I've found 2 closed-pack VG258QR in my local shop. I also couldn't find any in online-retailers.

I also wonder this monitor in terms of overdrive, image quality, motion clarity compared to ViewSonic XG2402, XG2530 which is my monitor for now and XG240R. Especially gaming performance when the fps is not stable at 165.

He tested it with VG258Q not the QR model.

I would stay away from this monitor.

Trust me, nothing will beat the ViewSonic XG2402 unless you really want strobing.

I'm so confused.. Also another test shows that VG258QR has very minimal input lag. They also told in that review VG258QR is the fastest monitor they have ever tested for input lag time.

its true vg258qr is really fast monitor the only problem is the strobing(ELMB) but you can turn it off on osd if you can get vg258qr take it
