I exchanged my XG258Q for VG258QR and I want to say that the XG258Q is rubbish compared to it. All 240Hz monitors are a big joke. Do not mess with them.

I never thought you would give it a try. I'm glad it's working fine for you.

Maybe not all 240hz are bad but you will never get 240 steady fps in any modern game.

I am a happy VG258QR user and I love my 165hz performance.I also was curious about 240hz monitors but now that curiosity is ended.Thanks.

Hey man, i just wanted to ask which of both monitors has a lower input lag in your opinion?
I recently got the omen hp x25f 240hz Monitor but always thought about maybe getting the XG258Q to compare both. The X25f has a really low input lag as well, but i cant compare it. Now im also thinking about getting the VG258QR
What made you change to the VG258QR?

I just began to notice that I began to play badly in my favorite Rainbow Siege game.
My average FPS is 300+
And I lose in those situations where I should not, people with IPS 60Hz monitors do those things that I can hardly do.
Either the game does not work well with 240Hz or I do not know.

But reseeding on VG258, I felt that the monitor is more responsive (it is felt by the movements of the mouse) and in general it is more comfortable to play. And the funny thing is, these 165 work very quickly and it seems as if I did not leave with 240.

I use: XL2540 (240hz) -> XL2546 -> XG258Q
I tracked the way professional players played and play, and after they switched to 240Hz their results fell down.

I am hesitating between the VG258Q and VG258QR about input lag

Are they the same or VG258Q is worse than QR ? I read about 14ms for Q, and 3ms for QR

Would getting the VG258QR over the XN253QP be a better option?

Megatone, just pick the QR. Price should be the same.
