XG2402 or XG240r?

I'm still running a 60hz monitor and I've been looking to finally upgrade because I'm upgrading my pc as well. I settled on the XG2402 but then I saw the XG240R. I noticed on Viewsonic's spec sheet the XG240R is listed as 5ms response time and the XG2402 is listed as 1ms. I've heard though that the XG240R has a faster response time. Can anyone explain this?

I'm after the fastest monitor I can get because I like competitive FPS games and I'm really confused by all this.

It's a typo. XG240R is XG2402, but they improved the overdrive a bit and placed an RGB light in the back.
XG240R is more expensive but if you're willing to pay, go for it.
