New monitor - need help!

Hey guys,

I own as a main monitor a BenQ XL2540 and as a second monitor ASUS PG248Q.
I want to sell the BenQ XL2540 as warranty is about to end, bought it really cheap anyway.

Here are my requests or concerns:

1. If I am going to keep the BenQ XL2540, which settings should I play (mainly CS:GO and Apex). Should I turn GSync on or Off? What about LightBoost? Factory or Service menu settings like DDCI or something, read something about that.
I have the feeling that my 240hz feels really weird (feels choppy) even though I have 300 FPS+

2. Which monitor to buy? I have read many things about the Viewsonic XG2402 or the new Viewsonic with 240 Hz. What about the Asus MG248QR?

Additional info: RTX 2060, 7700K OC @ 4,6 Ghz.
