Hi there,
I have very annoying backlight bleed on my XL2546 that is oddly too well defined instead of being just a blurry light spots here and there. Brightness 100% in settings to get it as visible as possible in this light (not so dark yet here).

When I browse around websites I can see those against dark background easily and it looks like the graphics itself has that kinda of curvy shades. Funny that those are also symmetrical like someone punched the screen.
So is this a definite RMA case or common or...?
Is this backlight bleed common for Zowie XL2546?

Looks pretty bad to me.

Those two parenthesis-shaped marks on either side of the screen definitely look like some form of LCD pressure damage to me.

Those things at the back may be pressure issues from the monitor's rear.
It lines up with the corners of the rectangle "rear box" of an XL2546 -- look behind the monitor and you'll see how the monitor is built;
There might be a possible factory overtightening of some kind in this particular specimen -- I haven't seen this in a different XL2546 so it's probably unusual.

Another possibility is that some warehouse facility incorrectly stored this monitor box face-down, with the rear weighing down heavily onto the screen glass. Possibly, the shipper might also have done that too as well, and loaded extra boxes on top of each other, for hours that way. That would also be another cause.
(A good reason why one need to always store and ship your monitor boxes, right-side-up!)

This is not backlight bleed man.This is physical damage.Someone hurt your monitor.
Re: Is this backlight bleed common for Zowie XL2546?
There is no visible damage anywhere on the screen. To me this seems to be manufacturing fault (some pressure thing mentioned) and related to areas touching LCD layer, because of those dark curves in the middle of bleed. Thumbs up the next one would be fine...

Definitely a mounting pressure issue, Chief.Chief Blur Buster wrote:Those things at the back may be pressure issues from the monitor's rear.

remember the old Asus VG278H Oval of Death? Looks identical 100%.
There was a thread over on hardocp forums about that. With a LOT of posts about it. Exact same oval.
