165 hz Ips vs 240hz tn-big difference?

Is the difference between Tn and Ips really that big? every test about my current monitor (AOC Agon AG271QG (1440p, 27ìnch, G-Sync,IPS) says, that the difference is negligible.
Is it worth to buy a 240hz tn monitor (asus XG258Q as example), because I started to play shooters like Apex Legends seriously.

If you feel the difference on your monitor between the RTSS limit of 162 and the limit in the game.
You will also feel the difference between AG271QG and XG258Q.

Subjective assessment. The XG258Q 240hz 120 fps ingame limit+freesync has a smaller input lag than pg279q 165hz 2000+fps.

But it does not matter if you do not feel the difference between rtss limit/ingame limit or gsync+vsync on/gsync+vsync off for example.
