I wonder if they weren't using the correct setting for monitor resolution as this monitor may have the same issue as LG 27GK750F-B where it must be set to "original mode" in the OSD for best input lag? It's odd that the non-native resolutions have lower input lag than native in their test, right?

It is indeed very odd. What do you mean with "original mode"? Where do I find this setting in the OSD?

EDIT: I found it, it's located in 'Input' and 'Aspect Ratio'

Was it already defaulted to original or did you have to change it to original?

Default was at Full Wide, so I had to change it. I can't really tell if it's much better.

I sent rtings an email asking about this, they said they did not have it on the correct setting so they retested the monitor and updated their number.

Awesome. Now that number makes more sense. Still not sure if the input lag for VRR should be the same though. Maybe they only tested Native Resolution during the update.

Yeah I think they only retested and updated the native res.

Latest news,

Linus made a video about 3 of the cheapest 144hz 1080p monitors out there and the LG happened to be the on the list. In the video, he briefly reviewed each one. One of them being broken he then compared the remaining 2 monitors side by side (Spectre vs LG).

To my surprise, according to him, the LG has a wobbly stand, "Weird motion blur", the 1ms Motion Blur Reduction he stated that It's pretty much a gimmick and on top of that, it had smearing at lower OD settings. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76KPzzMccjM&t=12m19s

Now, I've seen a lot of praise for this monitor from some of the people here who seem to know their stuff so I'd like to kindly call them out and clear things out if possible:

:!: If they've encountered the same issues as Linus(It's possible he received a defective panel),
:!: If they've encountered the same issues OR new ones and found a solution to those given issues,
:!: Overall, if they're happy with their purchase even after their particular LG 24GL600F-B has the same issues(or other) as stated by Linus.

PS: I'm really looking to buy this monitor myself so it would really be helpful if anyone who has it to run a few tests (the ones Linus did) and see if they're encountering the same issues. That would really be the ideal way to confirm the upsides and downsides of this monitor. Given this is monitor is just a few months old and is likely to be out for at least 3-5 years I think that the Information that you guys (The owners of this particular LG monitor), can provide will not only benefit me, but it will be of benefit to many more people who are looking for something to get their money's worth.

Thank you! :)

I own that LG monitor. One thing Linus didn't do was turn down the contrast to 68 or lower to get the overdrive good. It does do that smearing thing when reading text though. For gaming I love it though. It performed better for gaming then the Sceptre did. I read some reviews on the Sceptre on Amazon and it seemed there was a lot of defective units and one guy stated and it is a VA panel it needs to warm up for a little over an hour and it performs a little better. The LG has really good input lag for 60 hz consoles. I love it. I have never tried the BFI apparently that is not good but I don't need it with the great over drive. I'm pretty sure I'm buying a second LG monitor soon as well.
