Hello,
I've seen a lot of talk here about the ASUS VG258QR and some people were pointing out its problems and gave "viewSonic XG2402" as an alternative.
I would like to know if "AOC 25" G2590PX" is a decent buy for 220 euros or would I be better off with VG258QR for 310 euros, as I can't buy the viewsonic where I'm at. I was looking for one in the list of the g-sync compatibles.
Thank you
AOC 25" G2590PX

I believe the LG will be your best and cheapest choice. I would buy this one if I had no monitor. Costs 170€ right now in my country.
"LG 24GL600F doesn´t have height adjustement or rotation, but it´s cheap."
Damn! Not sure if I would buy it then. Don't want to use books as height.
Actually depends if it matches my monitor's maximum height.
Notty, what's it's height?

LG 24GL600FB costs 280 where I'm at... And it is 23.6'' which is a bit smaller and I would appreciate a bit of a bigger screen. It also isn't stated as g-sync compatible, can this be a problem if I have a nvidia gpu? Is there any other decent 25''?

Notty is saving money for the new 0,3 ms monitor. He will be the fastest gamer soon.
Re: AOC 25" G2590PX
What about MG248QR? does it have the same problems as the other asus
Re: AOC 25" G2590PX
I just measured 8,3cm! A total of 41,5cm from table to top of the monitor. This is an amazing monitor and even if it is expensive in some countries, it will soon go cheaper. It started at 280€ here and now is at 180€. Such a gem!!MatrixQW wrote:AOC G2590PX

no! Thankfully I didn´t fall for the 0,3ms/0.5ms marketing! Even the Gigabyte 0,5ms 240hz model is slower than most 240hz monitors according to the reviews, I posted it on its thread I say thankfully because I won´t even need to spend money. All false advertising so far!karavanasam wrote:Notty is saving money for the new 0,3 ms monitor. He will be the fastest gamer soon.

Tftcentral reviewed it. There is some overshoot.Sythen wrote:What about MG248QR? does it have the same problems as the other asus
FreeSync usually improves or solves overshoot but a monitor should not depend on it for a working overdrive. We pay for a working product, not patches.
My VG258QR has no overshoot/ghosting in games and ufo ghosting test with 'G-Sync compatible' and TraceFree 60 but most users never got it to look decent. I don't know why it works for me, maybe my hardware combination but I think it's Nvidia driver version.
Re: AOC 25" G2590PX
In a 144Hz is it normal that when you move your mouse really fast from one side to the other you see a lot of mouses(something like ghosting?) ? Maybe a silly question, I don't know much about monitors
Re: AOC 25" G2590PX
i will stop buying those freesync monitors and go for real monitor with variable overdrive with gsync you will enjoy more then freesync monitors you can wait for xf252qx i hope its have variable overdrive

Mine is 49,5 cm so that's too low for me. I have it perfectly aligned with my eyes.Notty_PT wrote:I just measured 8,3cm! A total of 41,5cm from table to top of the monitor.
Shame, I was actually thinking of selling mine and get that one and still save alot of money.
