Hello guys, i bought XG258Q, i need some tips for video setting.
I have Nvidia 1660TI and i5 6600k.
If you can post here your setting with Gsync comp (when you don't reach 200+ fps constantly), and without gsync when you have 200+ fps in the game.
My main game are Apex and Battalion1944.
Thanks.
Asus XG258Q video settings
Re: Asus XG258Q video settings
Hi! I´m using:
- Cinema Mode
- Brightness 60 (this depends on your room light etc, so it´s personal)
- Contrast 50
- Saturation 45
- OD Level 3
- Color Temp - User mode
- ASCR OFF
This was the setting that allowed me to reduce the overdrive artifacts as max as possible. Hope you are having fun with your new beast.
For games that do not reach 200fps or have unstable framerate, I use 120fps cap because the overdrive is good at that framerate
Cheers

Thanks Notty, this is with Gsync compatbility on, or Gsync off?Notty_PT wrote:Hi! I´m using:

Re: Asus XG258Q video settings
I use Gsync OFF because it increases input lag to levels that I personally don´t like. But I use sometimes if I play something like Metro Exodus or some single player slow game, no problem. With a 120fps cap too. This model is one of the few that can maintan an acceptable overdrive at lower framerates, being 240hz. But only at 120 (I have no idea why, maybe Chief knows better!)
Re: Asus XG258Q video settings
So i use this settings with Gsync off, 240 hz, 240 fps locked when i reache it or 120 (240hz) if i can't reach it, right?Notty_PT wrote:I use Gsync OFF because it increases input lag to levels that I personally don´t like. Re: Asus XG258Q video settings
Is there a big difference between OD Level 3 and 2 in terms of pixel responsiveness? I'm asking because I don't like OD Level 3 at all, but I'm not sure if Level 2 is too slow!?Notty_PT wrote:Hi! I´m using:

Re: Asus XG258Q video settings
What settings are you people using for the best picture for single player games where OD and such doesn't matter?
Any to Notty_PT:
Are you still using those exact settings for competitive play?
You mention here 'Color Temp - User mode'
But in this thread you said 'normal'. Which is it?:
