Monitor selection for a pro gamer on a budget

Hey guys, I've been lurking these forums for a while trying to decide what monitor I end up with and am only getting more worried as I narrow my choices down.
Therefore, I would really appreciate some help regarding picking up a monitor. I have played competitive shooters for over 10 years now and notice the slightest change in monitor/ingame settings and how they effect me. For now I am really looking for a monitor to play Apex Legends with a side of csgo and overwatch. My pc setup: gpu 980ti, cpu ryzen 5 1600. I am basically on a potato that I plan on upgrading towards the end of the year.
From what I understand, If I end up getting a g-sync monitor I won't be able to take advantage of it anyway due to my video card. Right now my biggest issue with my current monitor is that its a really old Asus VG236H. When I play fast paced video games I see lots of ghosting and trails which makes it really hard for me to snap to my targets efficiently. I used to play on a Benq xl2430t 144hz and did not have a big issue on that, but that monitor is now gone.
I've narrowed down my searches to:
1. Acer Predator XB241H bmipr 24-inch Full HD 1920x1080 NVIDIA G-Sync Display:
My first choice is this monitor from Acer. I can get it for CDN$ 346.88 which is a very attractive price. It has all the bells and whistles ULMB and Gsync but does not have 240hz. I can get it overclocked to 180hz. My question regarding this monitor is will there be a noticeable difference from a 240hz and should I end up investing ~$100 extra for it?
2. Acer Predator XB252Q bmiprz 24.5-inch Full HD:$483+tax
This is the 240hz version of the above. The only attraction here is the extra refresh rate.
3.ASUS ROG Strix XG248Q 23.8” $479.99
This monitor is 240hz and has FreeSync. Again I suppose it's no use to me as I am on a 980ti. But were to upgrade to say 2070super in the future, I should be ok.
4. Alienware 25 AW2518Hf: CDN$ 412.87
This monitor lacks any motion blur technology and is FreeSync.
For extreme fast paced shooting games where I tend to flick to my targets fast, should I be running gsync or the ULMB features? I guess what I am asking is if i pick a monitor that doesn't have a ULMB technology would that be really bad for games that I play on high refresh rates?
