Sorry for the double post but it seems like the cheaper one is the same model but older version. Does someone have experience with the old version in comparsion to the new one?

You're wrong, they're both 144hz, the X with 240hz is even more expensive (599.-). The cheaper one is an older model but I don't see any difference in the specifications.

I found the Viewsonic XG2402 (and especially the XG240R) noticeably faster/more responsive than the Acer XN253QP, which is still very responsive.
I also got better game scores with a Dell S2719DGF (which gave me some eyestrain, unfortunately).

On what measurement do you base this statement on? Just wondering how you conclude that the 240R is "noticeably" faster. If that's your subjective perception it would be nice to have actual data to prove this claim. Thanks!
