I do not need to prove anything. I just reported my personal experience with extended and repeatedly playing the same game.

Read carefully:
I did not write "that the 240R *is* <...> faster", but that I *found* it faster.

So it is my personal impression, and I marked it as that.

For me, there is no doubt about this ranking because I am very sensitive to subtle differences in game responsiveness. Of course, other people might have a different experience.

But it could also be that my results were due to the variability of individual units of monitors - *but the same could be said about public reviews!*

Often my own experience is different from the results published by reviewers (like rtings, pcmonitors.info). So such reviews - whilst very useful - can still be misleading and get people to buy monitors that have been praised by reviewers and might be based upon best quality samples that are better than the monitors people can purchase in the end...

Anyway, I am not here to offer a scientific result - I just commented about my own experience.

By the way, that the Viewsonic XG240R has less input lag than the Acer XN253QX is not only my personal impression, it is also what pcmonitors.info "confirms" (though I am always skeptical of pure test results, but still...):

input lag of 2.86 ms for XG240R
input lag of 3.26 ms for XN253QX

both values very good after all!

i know XN253QX use m250htn01.9 not sure about the QP but im guessing m250htn01.6
Did someone enter the service menu of XN253QX? Has it been confirmed that it uses panel version 1.9?

Currently, I have an XN253QP here, I had a look in the service menu, it shows version 1.6.

So do the QX versions always come with the newer panel?

Geizals and other websites seem to list the panel as the new one. Either way if you look up reviews the pixel response is at another level. I dont think there are any doubts these are the new panels.

As I said, I have the Acer XN253QP here right now (still time to send it back).

Would the Acer XF252Q be worth buying instead? Most likely, I won't keep the XN253QP - and the reason is the horrible stand which takes too much space and is unstable because the back part of this "foot" is also curved; so pushing it back to the border of the table is risky because once it crosses that border it easily tilts and drops to the ground. I do not like this shape of monitor stands. The Acer XF252Q has a "normal" stand.

I agree, the stand is not good. I recommend getting adjustable monitor arm with VESA - it's much better experience. I'm using Arctic Z1 3D Gen 1 on my BenQ XL2456, but unfortunately it doesn't fit XN253Q P, square for VESA on Acer is a bit smaller. The arm would fit if I'd cut the metal away though.

jombotski, so I've spent 5 days with Lenovo Y27gq-25 and 1440p on it is amazing! I'm going to miss it but will stick with XN253QP anyway, for better motion clarity as 120 Hz + ULMB on it is gives less blur than Lenovo Y27gq-25 at 240 Hz.
Tenobaal, can you give me a link about that update that switched TAA Antialiasing to enabled in Rainbow Six Siege?
I'm new to finding out about ULMB, I play a ton of Halo and Rocket League. Can you link me anything that would show a noob like me how to set up ULMB with the correct settings etc. I will be exchanging my monitor for the XN253QX.
