Help choosing 240HZ for CS:GO

Post by mrplee4 » 24 Oct 2019, 17:18

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on purchasing a 240hz monitor for CS:GO. Looking for the best possible color quality with a TN model with optimal overall performance.

Here are my options after doing research (all are around $300 US):

Acer Nitro XF252Q Xbmiiprzx 24.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) TN Gaming Monitor with AMD Radeon FreeSync Technology, 240Hz, Up to 0.3ms Response Time, HDR Ready (2-HDMI & 1-DP & 4-USB 3.0 Ports)

- potentially bad color but has 0.3ms response time

AOC Agon AG251FZ2 25" Gaming Monitor, Full HD 1920x1080, Freesync, 240Hz, 0.5ms, DisplayPort/HDMI/DVI/VGA, Quickswitch Keypad, Ergonomic Stand

- potentially bad color but has 0.5ms response time

Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor - AW2518Hf, Full HD @ Native 240 Hz, 16: 9, 1ms response time, DP, HDMI 2.0A, USB 3.0, AMD Freesync, Tilt, Swivel, Height-Adjustable

- good color quality but reports of ghosting at 240hz

ViewSonic XG2530 25 Inch 1080p 240Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor with FreeSync Eye Care Advanced Ergonomics HDMI and DP for Esports

- good color quality, no noticeable ghosting

Can anyone advise on which I should purchase? Thank you!

I am interested in this topic as well, but Im chosing between:

a) Acer nitro xf252q 240hz 0.3ms

b) Gigabyte Aorus KD25F 240hz 0.5ms

c) MSI Oculux NXG252R

currently im leaning towards Gigabyte, but not sure yet
