Are 240Hz monitors worth getting now?

Post by .kernel 0x000 » 18 Nov 2019, 16:55

I mostly play CSGO and am using an AOC G2460PG 144Hz. I'm considering upgrading to a 240Hz TN 24" monitor but they seem to have so much problems, such as the XF252Q having frame skipping unless you use free/G Sync on it. Are 240Hz monitors just not ready for prime time right now?

If u want reduced motion blur then in some cases it wont be an upgrade but that aoc panel isnt the best.If u want an upgrade your options are top end 240hz monitors like asus pg258q for around 500. The best 240hz panel seems to be XF252Q as its a newer model with good pixel transition times. Actually that one might be a sizable upgrade. I'd wait for even better 240hz panels in the near future. If u cant those are your options.
