Best monitor for competitive edge in GAMING? (small list inside)

Post by MoniThor » 09 Jan 2020, 16:21

Hello everyone,
Would like to ask for help on this, please. Searching for a few days now, I'm looking for a gaming monitor to buy: best performance by far-competitive edge in gaming, eye/vision care/protection, 24-25", FHD, 240Hz all combined in one-best option. My eyes are very sensitive... Using Nvidia GPU.

Here is a small list I have gathered so far, based on MY parameters-needs:
MSI Oculux NXG252R
AOC AG251FG
ViewSonic Elite XG270 (27")
Acer Predator XN253QX
Benq ZOWIE XL2546
ASUS ROG SWIFT PG258Q
Benq ZOWIE XL2746S (27")
AORUS KD25F

What do you say? Which one? Any better? Welcome to leave your words. :)

I been reading a lot and for me its probably gona be Acer Nitro XF252Q. New panel, 0.3 response time, doesn't cost too crazy $350 just like the other decent 240 hz monitors, 240 hz ULMB, overall very positive reviews.

Hello! Thank you for your suggestions, I'll consider them both. Cant buy for at least 2-4 weeks more, so now am reading, searching and trying to gather as much information I can to make the decision easier. Probably can'g go wrong with any of these listed, but looks like the devil is in the details. To clarify my goal more: the smoother the motions/actions/output -so I can react fast enough to them- is the better (as mentioned:competitive-esportlike-gamingedge, where every advantage matters).
-Can run 240 Hz @ 240(+) FPS, there is high consistency on that part, low fluctuations (as the numbers show). With this, it might be easier to choose after I read most of the related topics on related terminologies.
Found another model that I'll add to the list:
Benq ZOWIE XL2746S

Any newcomer monitors, officially announced info is welcome as well, I'll wait if its worth it.

Sorry for the lack of knowledge and using the wrong definitions here and there, newbie here, still learning.

I don't even know if it is on your radar, but I would avoid the PG258Q. I had one that started flickering vertical lines. I sent it back and now the replacement has developed a flicker too. I have also researched and it seems like the PG258Q is prone to developing these issues. I would actually avoid Asus. They did me great with the first RMA, they sent a new one. The second one, they set me up with an RMA, but then called me to tell me they already fixed my monitor... I called them back and they said everything was alright, to disregard the message... They then left me another message saying that they already fixed my monitor... I have 3 months left on my warranty. Even if I don't send it in, which I am afraid the replacement will be worse and I will be stuck with it, I will be avoiding Asus like the plague in the future.

What's wrong with the HP Omenf? Seems to have the lowest input lag of 2.6ms

And a fast 5.3ms motion blur

Zowie xl2546 has great strobe crosstalk fine tuning , all 240hz monitors suffer crosstalk but if you can finetune it that is to me very important
