Is Acer Nitro XF252Q best TN 240 hz monitor so far?

I was initially torn between the Asus XG248Q and the Nitro XF252Q but after reading further, and because the XF252Q is newer yet both monitors cost the same, I think I'm gona pull trigger on the nitro.
The thing is, I am not sure why its only at $350? The monitor has the newest panel from AU Optronics, supports ULMB at 240 hz, has 0.3 MS (idc about this number but still), and supports variable refresh rate, even though its not gsync so I guess I can see why its $350 but still
Mointors like AW2518HF is also $350 but its free sync as well so it makes no sense.

I think it has issues with G-Sync compatibility mode, if you can get around all the manufacturing defects and get a good panel it is fantastic. I've had my fair share of issues with it. There is a G-Sync model at $500, but I'm not sure I'm willing to put down that extra money when Asus has a 360hz monitor coming out later this year. Traditionally probably end up at around 600-700 mark.
The other option that I was definitely looking at was the HP Omen X 25f. However from people that have owned it who tried the XF252Q it seems like the 252q is better. So this could just be a case of the grass is greener.

it's because it's not genuine G-SYNC.
It sounds like the XN253QX is the best 240Hz 24.5" TN G-SYNC monitor available at the moment, and it goes for $500. In fact, you can
sometimes find the XF252QX for $300 on Amazon instead of $350.
You have to remember that while it's true that the new panel is obviously better than its predecessor, it doesn't mean that every new monitor will gradually be more expensive; it doesn't mean that now the XN253QX would go for $650 and the XF252QX would go for $450. The technology advances and the prices can't keep on soaring, because no one will buy them eventually. At the end of the day it looks like all (or at least the ones I've seen) 24.5" 240Hz TN Genuine G-SYNC monitors go for up to $500, as it's an already high markup.
The question you should ask yourself is why the older gen monitors still go for as much, instead of having their prices lowered. I guess the vendors see that they still manage to sell them, so lowering the price would be a dumb decision. I mean, think about it, not everybody is informed and keeps up with newer panels and new monitor releases. Many people see that <pro player X> is using a specific brand and model, and they go and purchase the same one. Hell, you have people here asking if they should return their new model in favor of a 2 year old model, when it'd clearly not be the right move...

You hit it right on the spot, many people not too informed about new panels, right now the most popular monitors in my opinion are the PG258Q and the AW2518H or HF and Zowie XL2540/2546 so that's why their is no need for them to lower prices cos people are going to buy regardless even if their is new panels...

Because not everyone wants to buy acer. Or are there options for new panels from benq, asus?

Hey guys I have a question, is it possible to enable
Motion Blur Reduction (VRB Mode) on this monitor along with overdrive to increase response time or this is not possible?
I tried with my XB271HU but when I enable ULMB at 120 hz ,I cannot touch OD...

Got this monitor and anyone else noticed that when you use "user" profile with your preferred color settings they dont stay. if you turn off your monitor and back on they are not "on" i noticed this because colors just didnt look the same like i set them.
after turning monitor off and back on i have to change example "r gain" + or - 1 and colors dramatically change (back to what they should be)
is there anyway to change sharpness other than super sharpness on or off?
