idk about THAT another_ash, I can pull this xl2746s up close to my face and I don't see any pixelation really. They did a good job with this TN.

A lot of esports players use 400 dpi but that doesn’t mean it’s the best choice. 24.5” vs 27” at 1080p is personal preference and how much desktop space you have. FPS games require you to focus around the area your xhair is located so the bigger 27” size isn’t a handicap but rather the opposite as some objects and characters are easier to see (based on my personal experience). The ppi fallacy doesn’t apply though since 24.5” to 27” is around 8 ppi which is very low.

I'm not really trying to say that 24.5" is the best choice, I agree that it's personal preference. As I previously stated; I personally don't like 27 inch but that's just from my perspective and own experience comparing both sizes at 1080p in-person. If the difference in PPI is a fallacy then paradox's 8bit vs 6bit-FRC can also count as a fallacy since the difference also small and can only be noticed by screen calibrator when properly calibrated. In the end both don't matter that much and it's all just up to if you prefer a 27 inch or a 24.5 inch screen.

Yeah not all use 400 dpi, some use 800 dpi, there is some variance in choice depending on game. It's only 75% of pros that use 400 dpi in CS:GO and like 38% in Apex. However in all shooters the spread between 24.5" and 27" is over 95% on 24.5 or smaller. I'm not saying this proves that 24.5" is better but that it's a set standard that pros are expected to follow due to tournament settings rather than personal preference.

In the end it's up to the consumer (and their budget at least here in AU).

Idk Ash, yeah, I use 800 and I play competitive battlefield and have no problem taking people down that mostly use 400dpi.. Now, the thing about this is 8bit vs 6bit+frc is, I did try the xl2546 once from amazon when that came out and I don't remember the colors being as vivid I do not remember the panel being as nice as this xl2746s. They are the same panel, just dyac+ we have now. Furthermore, multiple people that do own the 24.5' version of the 2456s have complained about the colors being really dull vs the 27'. ( people that have tested both ). Overall you are correct the size is preference and I think it has to do with what you are simply USED to using.
Bottem line just saying, the 27' really looks like IPS AND i usually have ips panels this is the first tn ive had in yrs now. Looks just as good as my pg279q besides the fact that this is 1080-p so of COURSE its not as deep in resolution as 2k but its damn close.

My XL2546S indeed out of the box felt very off but after a few days of tweaking it performs perfectly fine colours compared to my other screens (phone, surface laptop) and my brother's 27" IPS. The gamma does still feel a bit off but I may be able to fix it software side using nvidia's color settings. I personally rather take the slight boost in pixel density rather than the tiny boost color performance in my opinion but I may be just mosted used to 24.

Dirty, have you found any ways to reduce blur even more ? I'm still using your last setup you posted, looks really good.

Nah I haven't messed with it after that.

So. it appears they are going to ship the monitor this week...

Can we get a head to head competition between this and the
ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM 27

The reviews came out and it seems to have less input lag then the xl2746s...

... I dont know If I Need to order both and direct compare...

Thoughts?

The problem is you can't compare their input lag or response time unless they're directly compared by the same reviewer. So far RT hasn't looked at any of the new Zowies.
