I received the same. I managed to order the XL2546S off of the BenQ site yesterday, so I do not know if that email is intended as a cancellation. I am a bit agitated- it feels a bit like a bait and switch, as they had emailed me to let me know of this week's new stock.

This is very interesting. I just got this email as well, after having the 2546s for 2 days. The timing of it would suggest a component supply problem... Otherwise, why introduce an updated version 5 months after release? By the way, thanks everyone in the thread for their tweaking suggestions.

I'm more concerned with the discontinued part but it appears it is a change in components since they haven't been able to make enough stock quick enough
Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
What is all this insanity about viewing angles ? I'm always positioned infront of my monitor and my desk chair and body are all aligned to face my monitor at a consistent position.
Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
The vertical viewing angles are really bad and therefore the screen uniformity is terrible. I'm now starting to wonder if this may have something to do with the discontinuation

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
I wonder if they are switching to IPS? Kotaku AU did a piss poor review and their main complaint was “but it’s still 1080p and not IPS” which misses the entire premise of these TN monitors. Maybe BenQ is seeing a market shift towards IPS because people are ok with technology that is a bit slower but offers somewhat better colors and angles?
If I had to guess that’s most likely what will happen here. They’ll refresh the short lived xl2546s with a 360 Hz IPS panel that might have dyac+ and charge $800 for it.
Personally I think TN is definitely on its way out as IPS has gotten very close in g2g and caught up with input lag. The difference in g2g isn’t really noticeable even for the top 1% of players as input lag in my opinion is the deciding factor. If Zowie had a slightly slower IPS panel at 1080p with dyac+ I’d have taken that over my TN. The only reason I own this monitor is because of dyac.
Those of you who can still return your monitor should probably do so and wait to see what they bring in September. I’ve updated the front page and title to reflect this change.

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S (*DISCONTINUED*) Owners Thread
Btw I wrote Zowie NA a DM with the following question:
Hi has BENQ discontinued both the XL2746S and XL2546S or just the XL2546S? And why were they cancelled after only just being released? Is there a design defect with these monitors? Many on the blurbusters forum are waiting on your answers. Thanks
Let’s see if they answer and what they say.

CONFIRMED that XL2546S has been discontinued but XL2746S remains in production and unchanged:
My thoughts on what they wrote: They're almost guaranteed to be bringing a 240 and 360 Hz IPS refresh of XL2546S in September. If it's not 360 Hz IPS then it'll be a TN 360 Hz. They mention "models" as in plural and speak of different options so that to me makes it obvious they're talking about IPS/240 & 360 Hz. But nothing is confirmed and Zowie isn't saying so these are just my speculations.

Either that or just a new exterior design. I heard from a chinese source that they are going to make the "XL2546K" and "XL2546K-B", which supposedly has a different exterior design, but nothing said about any specification differences. A quick google search shows very little information about this supposedly model, but it is listed in the AMD FreeSync monitor list, and 4 days ago an FCC ID entry was approved. If anyone has any more information about this model, that would be appreciated.Dirty Scrubz wrote: ↑16 Jul 2020, 19:02CONFIRMED that XL2546S has been discontinued but XL2746S remains in production and unchanged:

I also want to say that if a new specced up model comes out, me as an XL2546S owner and i think a lot of other owners feel kind of cheated. If this is a better specced monitor i i surely would have not bought the XL2546S but would have waited some months for the new one...

That's crazy to discontinue a brand new product. I was about to purchase the XL2546S just yesterday. Put in all my information except payment. Guess it's better to wait for the new line up.
