Hi, new to the forums so go easy on me!
I just got my xl2546s. Does anyone have some good starter settings for fps gaming? I find the default profiles to be just okay.
I do already understand the panels very in production and it's always best to calibrate. I am just looking for a good jumping off place.

so which one is IPS PG279Q and which one is XL2746S TN ?
Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
I did not notice any difference. Just Dyac+ is better from Dyac. Believe me if you want to be good at FPS games just stick with your equipments which effect your aim (3xMo nitor, use, usepad)

well besides the S Switch being on the right... i can also tell left is IPS because it has SLIGHTLY more defined color gradients in the squares especially in the green squares where it has gradient to yellow. on the Left ips you can see that the green has a clear and defined transition to yellow, but on the Zowie the whole square kind of has a green tint. but its so close its funny. the zowie looks so good. 99.5% as good color as the ips on left. i would gladly trade in 1% for faster TN

The XL2746S is an 8 bit panel so that’s why it can be calibrated to have nice colors that come close enough to IPS. Most IPS fanatics just refuse to believe that TN has improved over the years to have nice color just like IPS has with g2g.kofman13 wrote: ↑07 Jun 2020, 11:35well besides the S Switch being on the right... i can also tell left is IPS because it has SLIGHTLY more defined color gradients in the squares especially in the green squares where it has gradient to yellow. on the Left ips you can see that the green has a clear and defined transition to yellow, but on the Zowie the whole square kind of has a green tint. but its so close its funny. the zowie looks so good. 99.5% as good color as the ips on left. i would gladly trade in 1% for faster TN

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
Someone said in this thread that XL2546S is 6bits+FRC (low quality 8bits), and XL2746S is true 8bits, any review has confirm this ?
If is true, hope the speed boost in XL2546S worth it. If both panels are 8bits and 6+FRC is just a firmware setting to trade less color precision with lower response time, maybe the XL2746S also can get an firmware upgrade to activate this mode from OSD. And XL2546S to access true 8bits.

In specs dont talk about color bits, but there are a new feature in the chart -> Fast Liquid Crystal, without any explanation about it
Maybe this has to do with the color precision reduction, but from a marketing point of view, highlight the speed and hide the losses. So, talk about speed in the name, generate hype, and no explanations. Dirty marketing.

XL2746S not have Fast Liquid Crystal.
