Yeah it says it has the Fast Liquid Crystal, so guess it's the exact same panel? not that it's a bad thing unless it had issues or QC problems?
I believe it is the very same panel, yes. If there were any issues with it, I guess they got fixed for the new release.

All improvements are welcome, but a bit dissapointed due to high hype and finally seems than no frequency or response time improvements. Hope at least improve input lag and unlocked single strobing to all fixed frequencies.

I wonder how BenQ/Zowie plan compete with IPS 360Hz, between frames latency 2.77ms Vs 4.16 , is mandatory get this improvement.

AU Optronics is silently developing also TN 360Hz ? all 360Hz info is about IPS, and not see Zowie swapping to IPS.

Chief talk about LCD "Blue Phase" technology, to improve LCD response time to microseconds, is very interesting, seems the only way LCD can fill response time gap to reach 1000Hz race without smearing. Any news on this would be awesome. But seems very away form commercial use.

I think Benq/Zowie would choose JOLED/LG OLED if is available instead of IPS even if price is doubled and there are the issue of burn-in at medium-long term, because the speed is what matter in professional eSports in the short term. Monitor wear maybe can be assumed like mouse feets wear, if is traded by allways <1ms in all 100% GtG transitions, strobing crosstalk and lag free due to rolling scan (like CRT), deep black, extremely high contrast.

OLED is here, mobile gaming +144Hz and more next years, TV 4K 120Hz, VR headsets, sure can be optimized to eSports if manufacturers want.

Maybe Benq saw the current 360hz displays and didn't feel they were ready, are there any reviews for it yet except for people like Linus that said 360hz had a lot of monitor blur on them compared to lower hz?

I take issue with their picture. Unless your table is right up against the wall and you are short on desk depth for your setup then the new K stand actually protrudes further on the Y axis and potentially interfering with your mouse / mouse pad / keyboard. From my experience monitor stands are more an issue of mouse / mouse pad and there's a strong case to be made that the K stand is worse than the old stand unless you're rotating the stand 45 degrees, in which case you might need to rotate the keyboard as well (or move it back a bit.)

Basically the monitor goes directly in front of you. The mouse pad / useful mouse area extends close enough to in front of you on the X axis that there's potential for it to hit the stand.

Even if you prefer long Y axis and narrow X axis stand, then I still take issue with their picture as most of the supposed real estate gained is from being able to place the monitor closer to a wall, rather than lack of conflict with the mouse pad / keyboard.

There you have it... I just don't get how they're so comfortable with their pricing / marketing decisions ... hopefully this new wave of IPS's and the new 360hz monitors partnered with nvidia will make them a bit nervous...

i kinda doubt it.
i collected my thoughts and lets face it.
benq zowie is selling top esports monitors. i think they are more informed about the market than your average forum/reddit Joe.
you can view their comfortably re-releasing xl2546(s) in K version just plain cocky since they did it in such a casual way.
but the fact is that as someone already pointed out, IPS will have to try superbly hard to get that anti motion blur crown away from TN panel.
why would benq zowie release something thats not a significant upgrade?
i do believe they are planning something and thats in the works. but i dont think we will see that in another year.
the other manufacturers will jump on the bandwagon of creating 360hz monitors due to the nvidia swinging big schlongs but they are also afraid of what will AMD do. since AMD version of DLSS is also doing really good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=De-vC5Zb2Dk
i mean i'm not taking any sides...i just think benq zowie is more of a neutral in this entire scenario thats happening around graphics card and monitors.
in all sincerity i think what they are doing is pretty smart and straight forward since forever.
yes i am mad for this bullshit shenanigans regarding XL2546K but i think it will beat the entire line of first gen 360hz monitors regarding motion blur with its dyac+ as TN panel with its 240hz.
and they just told us that with releasing this monitor AGAIN so casually with god awful commercial .
god damn ill have to buy it.

I agree with you 100%, but I just think that there's a huge "Zowie tax" on this... I mean I've seen vg25 280hz going for as "low" as 300ish/330€ on spanish amazon can i really justify the extra 200 for this monitor? but again that's a portuguese speaking where a brand new xl25 is equivalent to a month's minimal wage

Zowie already wins 8 months ago at CES. Everybody who've compared Zowie with that 360Hz IPS agrees that 240Hz TN is snappier than 360Hz IPS.

Because ergonomics is an essential factor. Some players place their hands behind the monitor due to the close eye distance. So they either need a smaller stand or a VESA mount.

i am literally benefiting from the new redesign of the stand since that part is exactly covering my mousepad.
its like i told them how i wish the stand was configured.
and i dont think you understood me tbh, nor your reply indicates that you did.
but anyway, i saw on other thread, the dude was like "who needs 144hz in 2020"
well according to steam survey that was recently released. not many people can "pull" 240 fps in their games so yea...
apparently a lot of them.
