Hey i just bought a XL2746s, wondering how happy people have been with theirs now that it's been out awhile? upgrading from a aw2518hf
I'm ok with it. Only weak point is that "Single Strobe" cutoff is 96hz. Vertical total tweaks work at different refresh rates to reduce strobe crosstalk and input lag. You can create a custom 165hz refresh rate to match other monitors if you can't maintain 240hz/240 fps. 255 levels of overdrive but only three levels are 'persistent' (AMA off/high/premium). The raw values for AMA high and Premium depend on the exact settings and refresh rate used. Values 0-255 can be set via "OD Gain" in the factory menu but will reset on a refresh rate change. It's a true 8 bit panel, not 6 bit + FRC.

Monitor is capable of 2560x1440 @ 120hz via a custom resolution.

*Edit*
2560x1440 works fine at 100hz, 120hz and 144hz. I wouldn't use that on the desktop though. Seems fine in games.

165hz seems to be around 650 mhz with a strange CRU timing so I didn't test that, since I think the max pixel clock is 599 mhz.

So my XL2746 started doing this:

I sent it in for repair to BenQ which was pretty painless via e-mail and fortunately the repair center is in California so it got to them within 2 days. Hopefully they fix it or send me a new unit. I'll update this thread once I find out more from them.

Well BenQ's website indicates they fixed it, if they did that was an incredibly fast turnaround and I hope they really did fix it:

Zowie/BenQ service was great! Monitor was delivered today and is brand new with a Jan 2021 build date, no dead pixels or evident flaws. Their CSR was responsive and stuck around until I got the display and let them know all was good. Now I am in California so the repair center is in S. California which helped a lot since sending the defective display there and getting a new one was very quick. So shout out to BenQ/Zowie for doing a great job w/the RMA, I'm pleased.

No problem, hope it was helpful to other XL2746S and BenQ customers. This was my first time dealing with them and it went really well.

S is better than K ?
You can change the OD Gain setting in the factory menu to match the overshoot amount. Out of the box, the S's default settings may be better tuned but you can change it on both monitors. In fact the only difference from what I can tell, between AMA Off, High and Premium is the OD gain setting (Off=00, High =depends on refresh rate, Premium=higher value than high).
