Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
Yes the Zowie is the better choice, especially with DyAC+.Adept4k wrote: ↑25 Jun 2020, 05:25If i’m looking for a monitor for pure gaming. Would the Zowie S series be better than a VG279QM?
I just got the VG279QM yesterday, and to be honest, it’s pretty damn good and responsive. It replaced a PG258Q, and it’s both faster and the colors are much better!
But, i tried the ELMB, and my aim/shots were a lot better than ELMB off. But i cant play with a brightness that low.
My question is, would the DYAC+ be the right choice? I really dont care too much about colors, i just want the most responsive monitor for pure gaming. That’s it!

Does anyone know about why XL2746s is 150$ expensive than XL2546s ? I checked playwares reviews and confused. I’ve thought XL2546s better but No It’s not. XL2746s has better color and Little smoother UFO than XL2546s but just it’s PPI is worse.

For one thing the overdrive /RTA artifacts are clearly MUCH better on the XL2746, at least compared to what I saw on the XL2540/XL2546 thread. That would be enough to pay the difference. Did you see the videos posted in this thread? That's some really good overdrive...

I dont know I got one from amazon uk for 390 pound, the 27" is 650 pound, not worth it for me.

I saw the tests by Dirty Scrubz for the XL2746s and that does indeed seem most impressive (unparalleled even?) but I don't see a similar test done for the XL2546s. The korean site playwares just has a gif in its conclusion that I'm not sure is comparable in rigor as its too blurry and different for me to tell if the 25 is actually worse than the 27. (I'm new here, lurk 99% post 1%).Falkentyne wrote: ↑27 Jun 2020, 15:20For one thing the overdrive /RTA artifacts are clearly MUCH better on the XL2746, at least compared to what I saw on the XL2540/XL2546 thread. I would want to be quite sure that the XL2746s is significantly better before snubbing the XL2546s since 27 inches monitors get a lot of flak for not being optimal here.
Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
i seriously have no reason to believe that xl27 is better than the xl25.
and especially "significantly better".
where in the world you came up with that idea....

What's going on guys. I have been monitoring this thread for a bit and have been testing the XL2746s for a week now, doing very well with it on battlefield 4 specifically..I played ESL in battlefield 4 competitive, so I really notice when input lag is high and low as I watch where my shots go...
https://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/u ... radox--II/ my stats here -- where you can see my recent reports using this panel at 240hz and I must say that dirty scrubz- your recent setup is very good and is very close to an IPS panel only if Black Equalizer is on 5 as you have. However, in game, I find that cranking it up to 12-15 is beneficial for extra spotting as this feature was designed for finding head glitches/ campers, and you know what, the feature works VERY well and delivers..I find people far back of the map with that toggled with dyac+ enabled..and with the blurbusters utility you linked, after running this program with your setup. I am curious to why you still use AMA on high and not premium. I tried testing the ufo's after running the benq utility, and i do not notice a difference in the spaceships after optimization between high and premium. Furthermore, in game, I do not notice a difference nor do I notice ANY motion blur whatsoever with AMA on premium, after running the utility..
So recap after that wall of text. @ dirty scrubz
is HDMI 2.0 really netting faster results with this panel ?
and why do you not run AMA premium when blur is pretty much gone after running utility.
Chief blurbuster pls comment on your thoughts here on this if you can, thanks!

Conan, I suspect that the xl2546s may be better for a more clear image.. With dirtyscrubz's setup, it does look close to an ips panel.. as long as you look straight at it mind viewing angles.. however, even fr33thy mentioned, the xl2546s is more clear because he tried both himself. Also, I would assume that it would be easier to win gunfights up close as some have suggested on the other blurbusters rather short thread about this panel .. with the 24.5' ...it makes logical sense to me. I am doing good with the xl27s..but I still want to try the 24.5..It is after all, 499..compared to 700. SO imo. I guess if you can just simply pull the panel closer to your face, your saving money. and you will have a more clear picture with more ppi.. I would assume.

We don't have an XL2546S panel here at this time -- but I may ask try to ask BenQ ZOWIE for a sample.
