will change with the 3000 series cards, look towards gen2 360hz monitors if you plan on getting a 3080 or 3090 imoConan wrote: ↑07 Sep 2020, 13:15i am literally benefiting from the new redesign of the stand since that part is exactly covering my mousepad.
its like i told them how i wish the stand was configured.
and i dont think you understood me tbh, nor your reply indicates that you did.
but anyway, i saw on other thread, the dude was like "who needs 144hz in 2020"
well according to steam survey that was recently released. not many people can "pull" 240 fps in their games so yea...
apparently a lot of them.

This is kind of stupid. I've had a premium dual monitor arm ready in a box for about ~9 months now, ready for my new monitor. I literally couldn't care less about a stand.
I just hope the panel itself will be nice.

Judging from the specs it's the same panel, hopefully there will be tweaks to it though to make it better than it already is.

Also, a ZOWIE employee confirms the panel is the same.

Would be great than BenQ/Zowie make sure its last XL series are available at the most know review sites like Rtings, TFTCentral, Prad, ApertureGrille, Hardware Unboxed. More serious measurements, and less unknow youtubers without the right pro tools.
In the recent Hardware Unboxed review of ASUS PG259QN IPS FHD 360Hz, is surpringsly how the GtG average overpass all TN 240Hz reviewed in this site, with default overdrive normal and low overdrive artifacts. Unfortunately, the BenQ/Zowie models are not tested in this site. I consider they the TN reference, the best of the best. Hope XL2746S and XL2546K arrive soon to these reviewers, and the science measure if is still faster than IPS 360Hz.

Wow this thread died.
Can someone with an XL2746S (XL2546S will work also) please see if you can create a monitor scaled (display scalar) 1440p resolution ?
Use ToastyX CRU and create a resolution with these parameters:
H: 2560
V: 1440
Refresh rate (100, 120 or 144hz)
Horizontal total: 2720
Vertical Total: 1500 or 1502
Does it work?
Does the monitor OSD recognize the resolution and report it correctly?

Is it true that the XL2546S is G Sync Compatible?

i have the XL2746s and I can run it at 1440p @ 120hz, but the pixel are not small enough to enjoy this mode.
Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S & XL2546S (*DISCONTINUED*) Owners Thread
In current LCD 240Hz Vs 360Hz, non-strobed, FPS=Hz VSync On, there are a small difference in motion blur, due to current slow response time, even fastest IPS can't fit all 100% GtG transitions inside the very short refresh window, so the beneficts of higher refresh are being partially wasted, by all these GtG outside the window. And even at recommended overdrive, there are small % artifats with ASUS IPS 360Hz PG259QN. Is i want but i can't. LCD is lazy.
TN have maximun GtG transitions longer than IPS, than not help in the goal of fit all 100% GtG transitions inside 2.77ms even with a future TN 360Hz. TN seems slower than IPS going from black to white, where one long blue halo appears. In others transitions, TN is faster. None of both win other in all transitions. None of both fit inside 240 and 360 refresh windows. Current LCD tech is limiting eSport monitor evolution.
From this viewpoint of limited GtG speed, BenQ/Zowie should plan release both, TN 1080p360 for maximize speed, and 1440p240 for balanced speed/resolution. Not only eSports players buy XL monitors, also mainstream FPS players. So if the difference 240Vs360 is not enought, due to small response time improvement, one big part of mainstream players will start think about maintain 240 and increase resolution.
AOC PG273QZ use AUOptronics TN 27" 1440p240Hz, TFTCentral say there are unlocked strobing from 85 to 240 range. Sure BenQ/Zowie can make a good monitor with this panel.
Some eSports professional players are now testing PG259QN, i think they are curious about the input lag. Is well know than this has preference in competition Vs any other feature. BenQ/Zowie need release 360Hz now. Maybe they work to release 480, and is the cause of the delay
Chief talk about LCD Blue Phase panels, improving response time to much, microsecond level GtG, but are in prototype stage. Are BenQ involved or aware of this interesting research ? Seems the only way to seriously boost LCD. If not, a change to OLED and MicroLED is the only way to get now GtG inside refresh window. With the improvement of rolling scan for DyAc+, byebye crosstalk. OLED with low brightness and burn-in limits, maybe a temporal solution, but reliable future tech, i only see BluePhase and MicroLED.
MicroLED is now in the market, Samsung TV "The Wall". Is not one prototype, is in the shops. Crazy expensive due to crazy size and be the first MicroLED in the world, specalative prices Specs are amazing, one source talk about nanosecond level GtG. The prototype 75" 4K, not still in market, have aproximately 0.37mm pixel size. 27" FHD has 0.31, so seems Samsung its not very far from be able to build 25-27" FHD. Price of these small sizes, maybe its not crazy, lets hope so. BenQ/Zowie should talk with Samsung/LG about the viability of this next generation screen for eSport.

XL2546s and XL2746s owners can I ask you guys a question?
If I set my refresh rate to a specific number with CRU to create a custom resolution will the strobe rate equal the refresh rate? Is 100hz the minimum refresh rate before it starts double pulse strobing?
Oh, one last question, how good is Freesync/G-Sync implementation with this monitor(and is it one of those monitors where the overdrive changes when set to ON)? I might consider using it if my fps fluctuate from 300 down to 220 with something like a 236fps cap.
