The blurbuster app just changes what's already in the service menu (area/intensity) so it doesn't do anything special. I tweaked the service menu settings but the crosstalk was still very bad at 60-120 hz.
Thanks !
This result is not normal, i'm sure that this monitor under certain frequency 165Hz? 144? is forcing more that pure single strobe to compensate brightness loss, and can't be disabled. Double strobe like the 60Hz video you upload, or one full strobe and several low intensity "reverberation", is the only explanation i find to understand this good strobe result at 182Hz but bad at 120-100-60, where should be almost crosstalk free with dimmed screen, maybe useable settings in low lit room. Beyond single strobe no matter if brightness is normal, constant double images kill motion quality, is unbearable, at least for me.
If this is correct, none strobe tweak can fix the "base disaster" caused by more than pure single strobe.
I base this suspiction in the fact that XL2746S has a basic brightness backlight (Typ. brightness 320 cd/m2), but "magicaly" can strobe at all frequencies maintaining high brightness +200. Strobe Algoritm ?
Hope TFTCentral, Rting or ApertureGrille review BenQ XL2746S and Viewsonic XG270, specialy ApertureGrille.com for its amazing deep review of strobe
to see how backlight strobing is working at differents frequencies in both monitors. Surprise for sure ! XG270 is perfectly strobe and overdrive tuned, single strobe, at 75-240Hz range, under 75 double strobe locked by firmware by Viewsonic

Maybe BenQ is using some type of algoritm like ASUS do with ELMB Sync, without the VRR mix part of course, but doing some repeating flashes to avoid low brightness at fixed frequencies under "X". Good results at ~+165Hz, disaster below. If this behavior can't be disabled in XL2746S, XG270 is much more versatile in strobing.
It would be a shame, this monitor can do better performance strobing. Hope BenQ launch firmware update to unlock single strobe at all fixed frequencies the monitor can work, and user can choice default DyAc+ settings, or custom each strobe setting by itself, with OSD settings.
