1440p@144hz screen choice

Post by RadaRcz » 28 Jan 2020, 11:04

Hi,

I can't decide between multiple screens for 1440p@144Hz G-Sync gaming. I know that 144Hz might not be achievable for me in AAA titles (my specs are R5 2600, RTX 2070, 16GB GSkill CL14 RAM). I would like to get opinions from more knowledgeable people.
I would like to have screen with 1ms GtG response (or as close as possible), possibly no ghosting (this is important to me) and the less motion blur the better.

Here are my possible picks:

LG 27GL850 - I really like this one, seems well balanced even when FPS drop below 144Hz or even maybe below 120. This seems like a safe pick to me. The price in my country atm is 535 EUR.

Asus VG32VQ - very tempting choice since in my country it's slightly cheaper than LG and it features ELMB+GSync at the same time. My main concern here is image quality when FPS drops to 80-100 Hz. My question is what is going to happen to image quality when I will play some AAA title within this FPS range. Also how does the image looks like with ELMB turned off. The price in my country atm is 472 EUR.

ViewSonic XG270QG - this is an expensive option for me, but also quite tempting. Is it worth saving up for this one over the others here? The price in my country atm is 824 EUR.

HP Omen 27" (TN, 165 HZ version) - This is actually also an interesting option for me. I has good response time, 165Hz, G-Sync. Reviewers are saying that this TN panel has also great colors. Price is also ok for me. Can somebody tell me if this TN has good enough color reproduction for gaming and maybe watching movies? The price in my country atm is 515 EUR.

If someone could help me with this, it would save me a loads of headaches, since I am quite new in choosing gaming screens.

Cheers and thanks.
