OMEN X 25f

Post by BTRY B 529th FA BN » 04 Feb 2020, 00:10

So I recently turned on Adaptive Sync + G-Sync Compatible + Enable for full screen mode + Vsync ON and my fps are capped at 225fps I have the NVCP limiter set to 237 as well in-game settings at 237. Do I have something set wrong somewhere else? Am I doing something wrong? I thought it should cap at 237. With all of that stuff off it pushes the max fps with the same games.

thats clearly the CSGO ingame limiter. Dont use that one, only use the one in NVCP or use RTSS

How do I limit the fps in CS:GO? I don't think I've ever set it

Unreal Tournament 4 is locked like that too and it has an ingame fps limiter that works and it's set at 237 but is locked at 225fps

I've noticed when I change V-sync from "On" to "Fast" the fps will hit the NVCP limiter of 237 with both games.

Vsync Always locks u with the screen refresh rate. That means that you will never get more than 240fps with Vsync Activated.
Don't use Vsync for csgo. Generally not good for competitive fps games

I'm wondering what I have set wrong for my fps to be capped at 225 on all games with the settings I mentioned in the OP

The NVCP limiter seems bugged and results in a lower cap than what you've set. I've seen quite a few other people experiencing this.

It might be specific to V-Sync On. If I chose 'Fast' it will cap at 237

Just tried raising the FPS limit with V-Sync 'ON' and it didn't effect the maxfps, it's still at 225

Yeah, looks like an nvidia bug.

I think you're right.

Also, I tried the latest drivers and overall it seemed to have worse performance; and still have that bug. I went back from 442.19 to 441.87
