Running 240hz over Hdmi to displayport adapter

hdmi 2.1 can easily run 240hz@1080p
Displayport 1.4 Can easily run 240hz@1080p
but my issue is that any cable i find that is a adapter from hdmi 2.1 to Displayport 1.4 the max it supports or says it supports is 120hz@1080p
thats not going to help me when i already have a 144hz monitor
