While I like many ASUS models, and am a huge fan of other (higher end) ASUS models, the MG248QE is a lesser mortal compared to that versatile BenQ workhorse.

- XL2411P is strobe backlight compatible with gaming consoles (single strobe 60 Hz).
- XL2411P has a better strobe backlight, tunable via Blur Busters Strobe Utility which we created for these monitors!
- XL2411P is also overclockable to approximately 200-215 Hz with the Overclock trick (Out-Of-Range Popup-Dismiss Hack).

Because of these advantages, I definitely prefer the XL411P for this particlar monitor match-up.

But How can I fix the scanlines/ horizontal faint lines problem that occured to me on the XL2411P?

a temporary fix is, to turn the monitor off and turn it back on, after opening a game or something, also is it possible to update the firmware of the monitor easily through the windows, or it requires hard firmware update ?

If we get flicker (strobe), this monitor is normal.

I honestly don't know what you mean with the flicker ( Strobe ), the problem that happens to me is when I open a game or soemthing, I see faint horizontal gray lines moving across the whole monitor, so I need to turn it off and turn it back on to let it go, or turn off Instant mode off and On again to let them go, also it occurs constantly when the instant mode is off ( the horizontal faint gray lines )
