VG279QM vs XN253QX

Hi Guys,

More and more reviews have been popping up reviewing the latest 1ms "Fast IPS" VG279QM 280hz monitor.
My question is- are these 280hz monitor faster than the 0.4ms panels offered on say the Acer XN253QX?

I understand the VG279QM has a black frame insertion mode to further reduce motion blur, but i feel like with prolonged use- this gives me some kind of eye strain and it doesn't seem to improve trying to 'get used to it'.

I tempted to go back to the XN253QX if this is still a generally faster monitor out of the box and have less blur/input lag.

Any advice/thoughts for users that might own either or better yet, both of these monitors?

Thank you!

You have the XF252Q which does strobing at 240hz as well.

The xn253qx has strobe for 100 120 and 144hz.

The new IPS aren't quicker but the difference is way slower than years ago.
Plus thie XN253qx has Gsync module witch assures a degree is made in quality control.

do you have any idea regarding the motion blur on both these monitors? I think the VG279QM looks great with ELMB on but however, it seems to burn my eyes when used over a prolonged session. I assume the ACER would still have less blur out of the box?
