Hi guys, can someone provide me with the best settings to use in this monitor? I can't find a calibration for it anywhere. All i did was turning off the sharpening effect.

One problem with this monitor so far for me. The displayport will not work in my bios without enabling CSM (compatibility mode) in the bios.
Just a heads up for anybody reading this, I've got the Nitro XV253QX and BIOS is working just fine over displayport, CSM disabled. Motherboard is MSI B450 A Pro.
This is for sure good to know. I hadn't even heard of this monitor. Is there a big difference between the XV253QX and the XB253Q GX? I went and read a press release and it looks like the same monitor... Even the picture looks the same. This is the problem that I have with the computer monitor industry, over saturation of products.

The Acer panels have the lowest input lag period.
The Acer Nitro XV273X is 0.02ms faster than the XB253Q Gxbmiiprzx. That is the only difference. My XB253Q GX has Ultra Low Latency Mode as well.

ALL of the 240hz IPS acer clones are the same AU Optronics panel> The origin are the XB3 models.

Same bezel except it says "predator" if its a predator panel or "acer" if it's a nitro panel. They all came out at the same time.

the xb253q gx is just the sister AHVA panel. But the OD tuning is all the same(extreme is unplayable, Normal is the only optimal OD setting)

The only difference is that the Nitro has "ultra low latency" feature, whereas the predator has a saturation feature,

all of them have very low inptu lag. Lower than any 240hz ips monitor. It was like playing offline even when i was logged in. These panels dont' have any processing delays.
Would you agree that the Acer panels are the absolute best for gaming compared to the MSI MAG251RX and ASUS VG259QM?

The almost non-existent input lag makes the monitor feel so so snappy. I'm just in love with it. As you, I also feel as if I am playing offline. It's just so quick. I personally am okay with the MPRT, sure it could be better but I'm not getting any overshoot at all.

The only complaint I have is the lack of flexibility. Strobing is only available at 120HZ whereas the ASUS can go from 120-280HZ.

If anyone has questions about the XB253Q GX, feel free to ask. I am keeping the panel that I received.
Hello

Do u know about the input lag ? In my country the AG251FZ2 have lowest price and 23ms (absolute input lag).
I just want to play CS:GO competitive, dont realy care about IPS panels, just want the fastest.
The Acer Nitro XV273X and Acer Predator XB253Q GX has the absolute lowest input lag. I would go with either one. These are so fast, it is quite astonishing. I will be posting an in-depth review very soon. I am in love with the Acer Predator XB253Q GX.

Could you explain this Strobing at 120hz? It's not available above 120hz? How does it look like in this monitor?

Question... this acer xb3, has the same panel as the Aw2521hf from Dell? Because i have to send my dell back... still ips is not at the level of tn 240... if somebody knows if they use the same panel... then 240 is not really 240 on this ips panels... the best is xf252q... please go on the ufo test and do the picture motion test... and see if they can hold 240 and the images is smooth... on the dell i cannot and the blur is very bad. And in Apex is like the images are dubling and is sooo soo distracting. On my old 144 tn i can see better motion handling. So please check your xb3 on the test.

The best settings are going to be specific to your monitor. However, the sharpening effect for sure needs to go. As far as color, you would need to calibrate your monitor specifically. You can try my settings though, from when I calibrated my monitor. Green is at 46 and blue is at 49. Brightness is at 32, because I calibrate to 150 cd/m2. I ended up leaving the "dark boost" at the default 5 and allowing the calibration to fix it. However, the difference was only a very slightly darker picture. Of course, there is a profile that was created when I calibrated it, that is specific to my monitor, but the changes in the monitor's colors above brought the display into the following calibration:

Color temperature 6500
150cd/m2
gamma 2.2

The PG258Q, my previous monitor and a TN 240Hz panel, does have less motion blur. By how much? Probably not that much, but I can tell.

Yes, unfortunately for some reason the XB253Q Gxbmiiprzx is limited to strobing at 120HZ. If you want strobing up to 240Hz just get the Acer Nitro XV273X. I just couldn't handle having a 27" panel with 1080p.

But despite having only 120HZ strobing, it is so clear. I can make out every single detail on test ufo including things like the aliens eyebrow and the 3 white squares around each section of the spaceship.

When gaming (FPS), I notice it is way easier to track heads. Also when I specifically play Hollow Knight, I notice just how low the input lag is. It's so snappy that I know my monitor isn't holding me back.

Have you tried the XB253Q GX? Because I've compared it to the AW2520HF and I can say hands down that the Acer is only slower in response time by less than 1ms. But surprisingly, the Acer has LESS input lag than that TN 240Hz monitor.

I am absolutely sold on fast ips panels now. I just wish we get a firmware update that allows strobing at more ranges but now I'm nitpicking.

It strobes excellently at 120HZ.
