Looks like 4ms g2g pixel response time to me. just like my viewsonic elite xg270qg with variable overdrive. That's a far cry from their claims of 1ms and 0.5ms with overdrive. Lol cant believe this vietnamese company was allowed to make such frivolous claims.
But based on the pictures. Thats clear cut 4ms. Hell, it looks like 4.5ms . My viewsonic nano IPS 1440p monitor EASILY gets to 4ms if I have variable overdrive on.
but to anyone reading this. 0.5 or 0.1 or whatever they were advertising is a farce. Based off the motion blur tests, its about 4.5-4.6ms response time. Which is slightly quicker than the LG but slower than the Viewsonic 1440p nano panels. .
i will post another new test,this time with variable overdrive G-sync ON. If the two 240hz monitors here can beat the fastest 1440p IPS monitor Then, I WILL compare my MSI mag 251rx, the best IPS 240hz monitor and unequivocally the fastest. no other 240hz IPS monitor come close to beating the MSI in average g2g response time(at least that i've tested)

Re: IPS 240hz -> Acer Predator XB253QGXbmiiprzx ??
Sorry guy but the 1440p 165hz Viewsonic Nano monitor won thanks to its G sync Chip hardware and variable overdrive. It's faster than the ASUS TUF VG259QM and the Acer Predator XB253Q GX despite only having 165hz refresh rate. The G-Sync chip variable overdrive was the main reason why it won.
240hz 280hz asus monitor(60 overdrive to avoid overshoot). 240hz Acer monitor (normal overdrive)
Viewsonic elite xg270qg 165hz VARIABLE OVERDRIVE ON(G-sync hardware)
so my assumption were correct. The 240hz acer predator w/ normal overdrive and the 280 asus with 60 overdrive is slower than the Viewsonic 1440p nano panel.
if your 280hz asus or your 240hz acer predator is slower than my viewsonic, rest assure it's slower than the fastest IPS panel in the world right now. the MSI mag251rx

Re: IPS 240hz -> Acer Predator XB253QGXbmiiprzx ??
Even on a stutter where motion blur is added, the UFO test for the viewsonic is still has less blur than the asus and acer. The differences aren't huge; however, just by looking at it, i'm fairly confident 95% of people will lean towards the viewosnic nano.
i'm not surprised by this. hardware unboxed claimed that the viewsonic "standard" overdrive was 5.5ms at 165hz, yet just by the UFO tests alone, the viewsonic elite xg270qg is FAster THan 240hz IPS monitors.

THANK you for your feedback
Do you think, in game, if i will switch for the MSI that will change something for me as a FPS gamer ?

Hi curious if you tested XB253QGX and the msi mag251rx. saw in some post you seem to have both, i could be mistaken, but if you did try both how is both monitor respectively in your opinion on 240hz? which do you prefer and going to keep?vlkfree wrote: ↑25 Apr 2020, 09:01With vrb mode ON (but i am stuck at 120hz)

Nope not yet, but it's clear the msi is much better.
I refunded my acer

Re: IPS 240hz -> Acer Predator XB253QGXbmiiprzx ??
The problem with the 240hz IPS predator and the 240hz IPS nitro is that their 3rd overdrive setting isn't useable. The middle overdrive although has 0% overshoot, it's very slow. (it's just as quick as the LG 27gl850-b but slower than the viewsonic elite xg270qg). TFT clocked the "normal" overdrive at 4.8ms which is the same g2g average as the LG27gl850, a 1440p 144hz monitor.
whereas the MSI's 3rd overdrive setting "faster" is 3ms, but has a 5-7% overshoot error rate(which is not noticeable to majority of ppl bcuz i dissipates very quickly at 240hz, i have never seen anynovershoot when i use it). That's way better than the Acer Nitro/Acer predator's "extreme" overdrive where there's 40-50% overshoot which is very obvious and is unplayable to use. The middle overdrive is too slow in my opinion.
The alienware however has excellent overdrive on its "fast" (slowest overdrive setting). The alienware aw2521hf/aw2720hf speed matches the MSI MAG251rx on it's "faster" overdrive at around 3ms pixel response times.
yes, i've tested it. with UFO test s and Photosensor+oscilloscope($80 digital, $400 expensive)

extreme overdrive on the predator is unplayable
i tried it on valorant it's a nightmare

Hey guys. I am considering this vs other 240Hz ips alternatives. I only play league of legends (moba) competitively.
What is the response time and input lag for this monitor? I am currently using HP omen X 25f and it has ~2 to 3 ms from rting.com testing. Will there be huge difference if I transfer to new 240Hz ips monitors including this acer one?
