I have XB253QGX coming up for tomorrow, hopefully well, I was undecided between him and 4 other monitors, precisely:
-asus VG259QM
-msi MAG251RX
-acer XB273X
-benq XL2546S
Asus VG259QM is excellent monitor but you must always run close to 280hz, I play a lot of warzone and my framerate runs between 160 and 240 fps so I left asus.
MSI MAG251RX, excellent contrast and overdrive, they all speak well but it has higher input lag than predator so I left MSI.
Predator XB273X it was an excellent choice but in Italy it is nowhere to be found, 27 inches too large for full hd, also I do not intend to use VRR in competitive fps, so gsync module or gsync compatible I don't care, I don't use it.
I'm honest, my first choice was Benq XL2546S, low input lag and excellent response time combined with DYAC + very clear image, but no longer available.
In the end I chose the XB253QGX predator because it is said to have one of the lowest input lag on the market, a good response time and a good viewing angle and colors thanks to ips technology, I just hope the blur is not excessive, I don't want to regret not having tried better to find a Benq XL2546s
I will give my opinions after trying it, I am currently using IPS LG 21/9 at 160Hz, let's see if this Acer is stronger .... lol

Hey, 2 quick questions:
between the XB273 X(Gsync module) and XB253Q(Gsync compatible) what actual differences will I see or notice between the 2 when using Gsync? Just lower input lag and that's it?
And I was hearing the XB273 X supposed to get some update so AMD GPUs can use Freesync on it? has that happened yet or will it ever happen?

Hey guys! Whats the diffrence between Acer Nitro XV273X vs Acer Predator XB273GX ? Is it worth buying predator instead of nitro ?

Re: IPS 240hz -> Acer Predator XB253QGXbmiiprzx ??
My tests are over immediately on ufotest and the result is excellent then I immediately entered on game (my framerate is between 190 and 270 fps, gsync disabled, fps free, no cap, medium overdrive setting).
The monitor has a clear image, I see no blurring and ghosting, surely a Benq with active Dyac would have an even more performing result on this aspect but I really don't feel the need to do better than this, screen is very responsive, the input lag is not noticeable, very fast.
Despite gsync off I don't see any tearing at this framerate.
full hd resolution on 25 inches is good, the small size allows you to play just fine without paying attention to pixels grains, which instead happens on 27 inches.
Compared to my LG 160hz there is greater responsiveness, thanks to the 240hz, the higher framerate and the relative reduced input lag.
Everything perfect then?
Unfortunately no
there are 2 big-huge problems:
1-quality of lights on screen is absolutely not comparable to my 38GN950 that presents a clearly cleaner, sharper, more defined image .... this makes it easier to identify the enemy in the game and the eyesight is less tired.
2-the screen is too small, I really can't understand how pro gamers can play well on 25 inches and I have 10/10 tenths of view.
The picture is small, everything is small, the enemies are small, if I have to target medium to long range enemies I struggle, they are too small.
this is my first 25 inch monitor, I have been used for years to use larger monitors at higher resolutions.
From the performance point of view, full hd and 240hz helps on speed, on reactivity, but, always from the performance point of view, my 38 helps in seeing enemies much more easily.
I am happy and disappointed at the same time.

1- Probably main reason for cleaner/sharper image on 38GN950 is 111ppi compared to ~92ppi on 25inch.IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑07 Aug 2020, 03:24

2- You will be surprised but alot of pros actually find 25" screen too wide and play with black bars on both sides to make it even narrower (most of them keep the monitor 30-40cm away from their face).
Eyes should get less tired on 25" screen. Just look at how far apart UI elements like mini map and ammo count are on a large screen compared to 25". A good player keeps track of minimap CONSTANTLY, try doing that on 38inch screen for a few hours....I don't know about you but on 32inchs screen it made my eyes bleed.
If you're somewhat competative player I would advice you to play on 25inch ONLY for at least a week to understand its advantages.

thank you, I have only used 25 for 2 days and I am realizing that I am starting to like it, I am getting used to the small size and I am faster in the game thanks to the little movement of the eyes.PixelDuck87 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 08:171- Probably main reason for cleaner/sharper image on 38GN950 is 111ppi compared to ~92ppi on 25inch.IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑07 Aug 2020, 03:24

I begin to understand why 25 is the most used measure in competitive fps.
I miss the scenography and immersiveness of my 38-inch a bit, but with 25 I'm gaining in performance.
Very happy, I keep 25 for competitive fps and 38 for everything else (desktop use and single player adventure games).
Maybe in September when it comes back I want to try the new version of the benq XL2546s, I'm curious to understand if dyac + can still add an advantage in my performance compared to the predator.

On the acer website the XB253Q GZ has just been made available, the features seem identical to the XB253Q GX, does anyone know the differences?
