XL2540 or FX252Q in 2020

I am currently in the market for a new 240hz monitor for competitive gaming only. I see the XL2540 is still used by any counterstrike pros so it should be a safe pick.
On the other hand the fx252q is newer but I've heard both bad and good things about this monitor so I'm not sure if this is a good pick.

Any other recommendations welcome
I prefer <25inch, 1080p less than 400usd
VRR and elmb/ulmb are not important for me. I care about input lag and response time
